U-Haul of Kenner

The clerk was courteous and friendly with the paperwork. The rental agreement I signed stated that the truck had 1/4 tank of gasoline in it, but when the clerk went out to the truck with me with the key to start it up, he found that the truck gasoline gauge showed less than an eighth of a tank. He changed it on the paper copy of the contract, but the Slidell U-Haul on Gause Blvd, where I turned in the truck would not accept that and charged me for gasoline plus a refueling charge although I bought gasoline en route and turned the truck in with more gas than it really had in it when I picked it up. My complaint against U-Haul Kenner is that they will not return my telephone calls about this and they refuse to call the Slidell U-Haul to straighten it out. U-Haul's national customer service has been unresponsive as well. (I was also charged a $25.00 cleaning fee for the truck by the Slidell store, which was an add on that was not disclosed to me at the time I rented the truck in Kenner.)
