Charlie was extremely efficient in assessing the entrance points for the bat colony that had been living in my attic. He was very informative about the process for getting the bats relocated. What I especially appreciated was that the procedure would not result in any harm to the bats. It turned out that the whole colony did not evacuate within the expected 3-day period, and several found their way into the house. Charlie was very good about coming back to re-assess and examined the attic area thoroughly. He discovered an entryway by the exhaust fan vent over my stove and blocked it off. All at no additional charge. I am very impressed with his knowledge, and the prompt followup he provided.

Mr. Parker met me the next morning and did a walk around my building and spotted the pointed of entry, He then went into the attic and could see the bird, but when he came back with a cage to capture it, the bird was gone. He then removed the nest which filled a small plastic bag and filled that opening with foam. Then he went outside and noted other possible points of entry and suggested that he fill all those spaces to prevent birds, or anything else, from finding a way back into my attic. Because I live in a condo, the association had to approve that work, and they did. By the time I came back from work, Mr. Parker had completed the job and I could see that he was very thorough, but when I came inside, I could hear chirping. My first thought was that the bird was still in the attic so I called Mr. Parker and he came back. He went back into the attic, and even though we could hear faint chirping, he could not pinpoint where it was coming from. As time passed, he determined that it was from outside and probably the bird was trying to find a way back in, but said the bird would find another location because he had sealed any other points of entry. Mr. Parker stayed for about an hour to make sure, and he was right. Since then, I've had no problems. I'm so glad I called Parker Wildlife. Mr . Parker was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I would definitely call him again, but I sure hope I don't have to! ;-)
Description of Work: I came home from work and heard chirping coming from my attic. I called Parker Wildlife to come out and remove the bird.

As a rule, I do not return calls wherein a potential customer threatens to call someone else unless I call them back, sorry I could not help you. Perhaps it worked out for the best, my competitors need the work!

After assessing the situation in our attic, Mr. Parker sealed entry points into the attic with heavy duty screen (large louvers on ends of house, end caps of ridge vents, around an old power vent, and the chimney). After identifying some footprints, he set out live traps and two squirrels were removed from the house. He then set out snap traps in the attic and two rats were removed. We were very pleased with the service he provided. Would certainly use him again.

Charles was great! He was professional and friendly. He took care of the problem and they haven't returned. I would highly recommend him and would call him again for any animal problem we might have.
Description of Work: We called Charles at Parker Wildlife because we had a bat problem. They were living between the brick and molding on our back porch. Charles came out right away and explained what he would have to do. He put "traps" at the openings where the bats were. He went all around our home and sealed any place they might be able to get in. When they fly out of the "trap", they can't get back in. Once he was sure they were all gone, he came back, removed the traps and sealed the openings that were left. Before he came, we sat on the porch one night at dusk and counted 78 bats fly out and that wasn't all. It was unbelievable.

You should be more honest in your reviews. You never hired me, you have not spoke to me and I did no work for you. Perhaps you are mistaken. If you are trying to complain that I did not respond to your phone calls, I am under no obligation to return every phone call I get. You must be sure to leave a clear message and call back number. This is a false and misleading review as you stated a date that work was completed. Work was not completed, and you cannot state that you would not hire again if you never have in the first place. This review should be flagged for review as false.

Description of Work: Diagnosed a problem with a bat infestation in our attic for my wife while I was out of town. Explained the whole "bat scenario" to her in clear and precise terms she could understand and agree to. Detailed how they would move the colony out with our killing bats which is against the law. Came to our house a number of times in off hours to rid the downstairs of single bats that had shown up in the den, kitchen and bedroom. My wife was highly impressed with the knowledge and professionalism and courtesy shown by Mr Parker. Would highly recommend them for any animal control problem..especially bats

Mr. Parker arrived about 4:30 in the afternoon. He was surprised to find the pest was not under the house. It required further investigation. He worked until nearly 8 pm to locate and removed the dead opossum. He repaired the cedar closet wall and exterior wall. He was great at explaining what he was doing, patient with our elderly grandmother, who was the homeowner, as well as with my toddler who was very interested in what he was doing. We were very pleased.

Chuck answered the phone when I called a little before 9 am on the day we really noticed a funky smell in and around our kitchen. He told me he could come that same day, sometime after 4pm. He called at 3 to say he was on his way. My husband met him at the house and he took at least an hour searching for the source of the smell. It ended up being a big dead opossum in the middle section under the house, which he removed and disposed off. Chuck was extremely pleasant, professional and tireless in his search.

Wonderful...see above. I called many agencies, including animal control and NO ONE would take the job. He did immediately.
Description of Work: Charlie Parker is wonderful! He was the ONLY one who would respond and take the job...I needed a dead animal removed from my car. He was sympathetic and actually made a special trip, that day over to my house. He removed the animal, disinfected, cleaned up, disposed of the mess. He was so sweet and professional. I have actually told many people about him. He's great!

Description of Work: I called this individual for my attic squirrels, rats, and possibly possums which are a contueing problem. He made an appointment, but was not on time. I called to see where he was and left a message. He called back 2 hours later and I met him at the house (more time off from work). He inspected the house and gave some recommendations, and was supposed to come back the next day. He never showed up. I called the company twice to ask what was going on, but always got a voice recorder. I left several messages, but no answer, and no call back. The company may be good at what they do, but I could not get them to do anything.

Response from PARKER WILDLIFE CONTROL
We did a 100% completely FREE inspection and DID NOT CHARGE this person in any way. I was NOT hired or paid to work for the member. We absolutely HAVE TO service our current customers first. The city of New Orleans is no longer handling any nuisance wildlife concerns and is referring nearly ALL of their wildlife related calls to me. This jumped the amount of phone calls I receive a day from the normal 12-15 new calls to 40-50 NEW phone calls. Please accept my apologies - I should have at least called you back to recommend someone else. Again, you were not charged for the inspection and I was NOT hired to do anything. I was unable to perform the work and never accepted any money in exchange for any work. I should have accepted the fact that I was too busy to even try to do the inspection - but trying to please everyone I make mistakes. I hope you followed the FREE recommendations I gave you and that your problem is fully resolved. I owed you a phone call, but will not insult you with it now. Sorry it didn't work out, you seem like a nice person with a real problem on your hands. Sincerely - Charles Parker --- Parker Wildlife Control

Over-all, I am very pleased. Chuck knows his stuff and is fearless in getting after wild things. Expect to pay a lot for the services. Few people will perform wildlife removal, so you get what you pay for. I like and trust Chuck. He has integrity and he will not set you up unethically, to have to pay more, as some companies will. If there are any complaints, it is that he needs to work on warning people when he is going to be late and he needs to call people back more promptly, but I told him this and he agreed.
Description of Work: Chuck Parker removes exotic and wild animals from your home, office and land. He removed a big nest of stubborn squirrels who took up permanent residence in my attic and a live rat. He has removed bees from walls, racoons, hogs from property, a boa constrictor snake from a gutter, snakes from toilets, bats from fireplaces, etc. What I like best is that Chuck is a great carpenter and he has an eye for prevention and fixed the attic so that nothing will come back, stuffed holes in bricks to keep out bees, etc. (Not to mention that he has great stories !)
