Crescent City Cleaning

Description of Work: I'm still in college and working full time so I don't have time to clean. "Miss Elaine" came in a cleaned my place from top to bottom. She washed all my laundry and folded everything neatly. My bathroom is no longer bio-hazard and my kitchen is no longer growing penicillin. Miss Elaine is AWESOME; it's like having MOM here to clean. There was over $4 in change she left in a bowl on my coffee table. Apparently, there's a small bank under my sofa cushions. I'm so happy, I've signed on for every two weeks to keep the place up.

Description of Work: This was a "move out" clean for a small one bedroom apartment: 4 hrs for $185. I thought this quote was high but she said if they finished early they could spend time in my part of the house ... I must admit I was expecting a crew or at least a couple of cleaners but just one young woman was sent over. I asked what she is paid: she said $10 an hour but $15 for "move out" - that means she was paid $60 max while her boss took the remainder $125! her boss also insisted I pay $100 up front before the young woman even began. The young woman did an OK job for one person working alone. The fine print on my receipt says if was unhappy about anything "Your original housekeeper must redo any repeat/unsatifactory work". I felt like this young woman was being exploited so the last thing I would want to do would be to have her repeat her work without compensation! The woman who runs this company was quite unpleasant ... I would never recommend their service and wonder never advise anyone to work for them ...
