Plumber was on time and did unclog the drain, but said he couldn't do anything about low water pressure which is the only on the kitchen sink. Said he couldn't use a and quot;cableand quot; because I had used an over the counter drain cleaner. This person aActed like he had somewhere else to be and couldn't wait to get out. WORST, THE DRAIN WAS CLOGGED BACK UP WITHIN 12 HOURS!! 2 Calls to the company resulted in the and quot;Supervisorand quot; hanging up on me, 3rd call, and quot;I can't deal with thisand quot;, I'll have the boss call you and quot; Boss never called back. I had to hire another service that actually accomplished the job successfully. Arcadian Plumbing is the worst service of any so called professional company I have ever experienced. Stay away from this company!

Response from Acadian Plumbing and Drain
RE: [member information removed] Customer called Acadian on 8/20/13 to request service for a kitchen sink that had been clogged for weeks. The dispatcher gave her a range of what the cost would be depending on what the service technician would have to do. She was told that we could have someone out the same day and she was thrilled at the prompt service. Upon arriving at the home and speaking with the customer, the customer informed our technician that she had been putting drain cleaning chemicals in the drain. Once this has been done, the technician cannot immediately cable auger the line for two reasons: 1) The chemicals can cause damage to the cable and 2) It is dangerous to the technician due to splashing. Technician left home feeling good because she praised him on a job well done. About 20 minutes later the customer called the dispatcher back praising that the technician was great and did a good job. Then she asked since he was only there for a half hour could we do something about the price. The dispatcher explained that we use a flat rate system for task and not time and material. The rate for this task is the same up to 1.75 hours. At this point the customer made veiled threats about what she would write about us if we did not reduce the rate. At this point the dispatcher turned the call over to a supervisor who was in the office. He told her that he would speak to the technician to see exactly what was done and what was charged and call her back. He returned her call after finding out what exactly was done and checking the rate book to ensure that it was charged correctly. He informed the customer that the technician had done nothing wrong and that he had charged the appropriate rate, therefore, the rate would stand. The next contact was when she put this review out (hence her making good on her threats)

While the proprietor and workers were professional and friendly, the work performed was a unnecessarily long drawn out process, taking almost three months to complete. - A week of no work allowed my lawn to look like a bad construction site. - To this day we still see the damage done to our lawn as a result of the work. We had to ask the company to come back to fill in dirt where plants were removed. Apparently one must indicate all these details, like and quot;return the lawn to its previous state,and quot; when contracting with this type of contractor. We have no idea if we paid too much for the process of ripping up the front of the house, and then digging under the slab to pull out rusted and damaged pipe and hangers. The pipes and hangers stayed on the lawn during the entire THREE MONTHS!
Description of Work: This company diagnosed and then were hired to repair under-the-slap plumbing. All of the pipes under our slab were removed and replaced.

Great!!
Description of Work: Install a new hot water heater that I had previously purchased. This included replacing the inlet water valve. Change the gas valve for the water heater and the adjacent clothes dryer. Re-route the pressure relive line to be in code, Install drain for overflow pan (new requirement). Check and brought the exhaust vent up to code requirements. The work was performed by Woody, immediately after my wife and I accepted his price. Woody did a great professional job. I only wish that I had been on the ball to change the water heater when it started talking to me (making noises) rather than after the water heater failed, flooding part of the first floor which added the expense of water removal and carpet replacement. Word to the wise is to replace hot water heaters when they are takling to you and give Acadian a call. The address is in Kenner (20 miles away for use) but don't let that bother you. Note that Acadian was recommended by a church friend who believed that the company provided pricing and professional service. GOOD LUCK

They do excellent work, I have never had a plumber that has worked that well. It was just fantastic. Ask for D, he the best of the best. He is very professional, friendly and his work is incredible. They are kind of high but they are worth it.
Description of Work: They replaced and fixed a water heater that went out on me. They also fixed a couple toilets really well.
