Description of Work: I had no work done because I never got an estimate. I had an appointment for an estimate, which they kept. Told me he would get an estimate to me soon. I waited a week, then called. The lady that answered the phone said he would get it to me soon. I never heard from them so I selected another company. The job was completed and about a month later the estimater called me and asked if I still wanted an estimate. I told him no, I did not hear from you so I went with another company. Then about a month later a woman in the office called and asked if I had gotten an estimate and I told her the story. I would never call these people again. If they had taken the job I can only imagine how long it would have taken.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate and got a quick response. A member of their team came out and we talked about what I needed. He said I would hear in a week. In a week I called and was told it would be the next week before the estimate was ready. It has been several weeks and I have never heard from them again. Perhaps my job was too small, but a courtesy response would have been appreciated.

Description of Work: I called today (2/18/13) spoke to a female, pleasant personality, explained that i was requesting an estimate of repairs needed, i informed her what they were: 3 wall heaters, stove(not able to use oven, top of stove, burners are fine). she said she will call someone to see who can assist me forty five minutes past, called her she said she haven't forgot me, she's still checking. Description of Work: We called SES Enterprises right after Hurricane Issac.... They were very nice and professional on the phone. They set up a date to come for the estimate. They came earlier than the actual date given. Again extremely punctual and professional and so nice. We have not had the actual work done yet, but if it is anything like the pre-service, I know we will be satisfied.... they were just that nice. I have heard from them about 3 times via email asking us of we were ready for them to begin work. I informed them it would be after the 1st of the year and they said "no problem".

Description of Work: Excellent service. Did a great job on taking out the old fence and putting up a new fence for us. We are very, very please.

Description of Work: We needed to have gutters installed on a property. SES was used for a quote. They were prompt, and gave a detailed estimate. We did not end up using their services, but would definitely call them again for future work.

Description of Work: With so many great reviews on Angie's List we asked SES to come out and give us an estimate...really thinking they'd certainly be the ones we'd go with. Initially when they came out to do the estimate, they came across as quite professional. However as the weeks drug by trying to get accurate break-out quotes so that we could release much of the work , they simply stopped responding to our calls and e-mails. Our faux pas was in asking them one question regarding a price on a certain item. Clearly they take this as quite an offense and you'll find yourself needing to start the process all over with a new contractor...after weeks of delays. It can't help but make one wonder, if you were in the middle of the actual work being done with these guys and you questioned something....where are you going to find yourself?

Description of Work: Shawn's team redid the shower in our master bathroom, tightened up carpet in several rooms and installed vent tubing in the attic to properly vent the fans for the 2 bathrooms and the laundry room. They are highly sought after, so it did take a bit of time to get a project started, but once they got going it was really quick. We are soooo happy with end results.

Description of Work: Bought a house made of cement that was built in the 1940's. It had several layers of old paint on it that was peeling off and decided to have the house stuccoed. Heard of Shawn through a friend and called him up. Next day he was there to take a look and give me an estimate. Within a day or so his crew was there they sandblasted the old paint off and stuccoed my house. Due to weather there was some downtime but when weather permitted they were there and finished the job in a timely manner. Very good job done and workers were very friendly and trustworthy.

Description of Work: I had 2 different components. Roof for house approx 2000 sq feet , and 500 sq foot shed. Single story. 30yr architectural shingles. Price was about 8300. This being the 3rd roof in 18 yrs, I thought the price was very good considering my last one was after Katrina and I didn't do shed. So of course there is inflation, but I thought it was reasonable. 2nd component was siding replaced after hail damage for same house and shed. All siding, fascia, soffit and trim changed. Just not the siding. It was about 5300. There was a spot of rotten wood that was exposed and they took care of it on the spot. OVerall the crews were very courteous, respectable and prompt. Only delays were related to weather, but that's how outside work is. The crews did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. They did a great job of containing tools and picking up after selves, and this is important as I have 2 preK boys who get into everything. I have some some issues w/ prior workers leaving dangerous tools, etc just all over creation. The work was good. I will definately use Sean again if/when I need more work. The owner is very personable, and the workers were dependable.

Description of Work: Jimmy, I believe was his name, came out on time and said he would email a quote the same afternoon. 4 business days later after not receiving quote I called the office who told me they would email quote the following day which made 5 days total. The price was 4X the price of a previous quote for the same job. Though Jimmy seemed proffessional, the overall experience was not satisfactory.

Description of Work: Sean, owner of SES Enterprises LLC was able to do exactly as his ads say. He took a series of relatively small home repair and improvement jobs and wrapped them into a unified job supplying all the needed crafts, from laying a floor, to demolition and rebuilding of a shower area (including framing, tiling sheetrock, and plumbing) and locating and installing an interior door. Sean was able to coordinate the different crafts necessary for the job in a timely manner. He completed the majority of the work within the original estimate, but was held up on availability of a special order. To his credit, he insured the item was fully ready to be installed when it finally came in from the supplier. Sean did work well with the myriad of inspections (before, during and after the job) required by the city of Kenner Code Enforcement office. As with any project, DO be sure to get a clear estimate of the task to be performed. If necessary, layout your own specifics in writing and include them as part of the contract. When finished use the estimate which becomes the basis of the contract as a checklist to insure all work was accomplished. Then when all is accomplished satisfactorily, be sure to make a prompt payment at the completion of the job. I recommend SES Enterprises as a contractor who does as he says and the no job too small is a great way to "clean-up" all the "honey do " projects as I approach retirement. Nick Boyce - Kenner LA

Description of Work: I tried to use them for several projects and really liked them as far as people. Thier follow up was not so good( I have done general contracting on my builidngs for years). I had money for a project then wouldn't hear back from them until I spent it on something else. The first thing they fixed was amazing and well priced. The seocond we ran all over about and the charge was 5 times the first project and not much more work. Maybe he overpriced me cuz he was busy and wanted me to go away. I ended up paying some guys off the street 1/10 what his bid was and got it done the same day. Not really sure what happened....I liked them

Description of Work: My tenant lost power in his business. I contacted SES on a Friday mid- morning, the woman that answered the phone was very nice, efficient and said that she wasn't sure if she someone out the same day but would call me back. She did and a tech came out that afternoon, assess what needed to be done. They called me with the info and a quote. Got the business back running, and then came back to finish the job. I was extremely please with their efficiency and responsiveness.

Description of Work: Requested an estimate to remove deck and build a new one. Chose to go with another company. Shawn came at the appointed time and was friendly and professional while taking the necessary measurements. The price was good. Just chose to use another company for other reasons.

Description of Work: We had them quote to apply wall texture on 3 walls. They quoted a price of $1500. Before we even got the quote back, we had the job completed by a very professional contractor for just $160!

Description of Work: They (SES) came in after a previous contractor's unfinished work and improved and finished remodeling tasks. Bathroom: * Installed a new tub surround. They (SES) selected an appropiate model. The work involved removal of termite damaged studs in sections of walls and ceiling. Then the reframing, resheetrocking and painting the sections of walls and ceiling. Finished installation of shower line, control valve, etc.; this had only been partialy done by previous contractor. * Hung light fixture. * Relocated a new vanity which was not properly installed by the previous contractor. * Performed other smaller carpentry tasks. Livingroom: * They (SES) selected, then hung, and painted new front door. I met the workers that handled the bathroom and frontdoor work and they are good and pleasant workers. Kitchen: * Corrected and finished installation of kitchen sink. * Diagnosed and corrected electrical connection problem to get a newly installed dishwasher functional. Misc: * Adjusted locker bifold door. * Trimmed bottom of interior doors to keep them from dragging on the new carpet. * Other tasks.

Description of Work: I had renters in my home for a few years. When they left I wanted to paint, get new carpet, etc. I called SES for an estimate. Shawn came out and he was very professional. My home was vandalised prior to the job but he was able to complete everything except one broken window. The house looks great. I would recommend his service to others. He did the job and it was completed on time.

Description of Work: Shawn came and looked at a dark spot on my ceiling. He re-tarred the chimney, nails, and around the gutters.

Description of Work: Shawn repared the shingles on the roof and preformed a complete inspection on the roof. At the same visit, he pulled nails, hammered other shingles and voluntarily inspected the other areas of the roof.
