SES scheduled a contractor to come to the property to review the work within a few days of my initial phone contact and supplied their work and cost estimate a few days afteward. The cost of the project was a fair estimate for labor and materials. No deposit was required before the work began. The job was scheduled within a few weeks of signing the agreement and completed in a timely and professional manner. The company proactively communicated with me before and during the project with updates. The workers worked 10-12 hours per day to complete the project on time. The craftsmanship and quality of the work was outstanding. The finished product looks great.

It was a huge job that took place over 5-6 months. One of the reasons I picked them is because they can do so much of the work. In addition to a whole bunch of talented employees, they have good working relationships with others - tile guys, electricians, plumbers, etc., and they get those people out as needed. When there is so much to do, there are occasional miscommunications but if I didn't like something, they fixed it without complaining or threatening to charge more. Frequently, the owner was more picky about how things should look and the quality of the work than I would have been and he would just order changes without me having to say anything. The only disappointment I have is with my windows. They're nice windows, but they aren't as big as the ones they replaced even though the company estimator measured the existing windows. The problem was with the company from which they got the windows, but I paid a lot of money for them and did not get what I thought I was paying for. And if there's a downside, it's that they are so good they are in high demand. So my work stopped a couple of times for about a week so they could go do something else. Overall, everyone is really nice and they work really hard. All the guys who work for this company take pride in their work and they are respectful of everyone they come in contact with. All of my neighbors can't get over how great my house looks. Perfect strangers who walk by go on and on about all of the details and the perfection of the work. My next door neighbor hired them to do his house and when I'm ready to do the inside of my house, I hope to hire them again.

This had been a big problem since we bought our home. SES came in and took care of this very effectively. I was extremely pleased with the work performed and it has corrected the drainage problem from our evaporator A/C.

The job went very well overall and I have been very pleased with the final outcome. It was within the estimate given.

SES came out to review the job and provided a very quick turnaround for the estimate. It was a fair price and once scheduled, the owner, foreman, and crew showed up on time. Once we reviewed the job, the crew was straight to work and worked until dark to get the job finished. The crew cleaned up as if they were never there. Extremely productive effort. The weather did not cooperate with the deck sealing - so the rain delayed finishing but they worked when they could and the deck looks refreshed. Extra kuddos since they had to move various deck chairs and tables off and came back after sealant was dry to put the furniture back.

We did not use this company mainly because their quotes were significantly higher. Also, they solicited for positive reviews on Angie's list in exchange for a 5% discount. They were late for the initial appointment because they thought it was one hour later than the time we agreed upon. Still they were 45 minutes late according to what they thought the appointment time was.

I work out of town quite a bit. When I returned home from out of town, I had a letter from my homeowner's insurance provider indicating that I needed some minor work done on my home. The repairs weren't unreasonable, but the timeframe was. My provider gave me a week, during Mardi Gras, to make these repairs. I called SES and Shawn was out that afternoon to perform an estimate. He and his workers were at my home the next day at 7am to begin the work. These gentlemen do incredible work and were available in a pinch. I highly recommend SES to anyone needing general contracting work.

We decided to hire SES for the work we were seeking based on their estimate which was very competitive. Perry, who came to do the estimate, was prompt and thorough and it was clear he knew the business very well. It took a little time to get on the schedule, but our deadline for having the work complete was March 1st, so it was not a problem (and they have since completed the work well in advance of our deadline). The crews who came to the house were prompt and hardworking. We had a few communication issues that came up when transitioning from the construction work to the painters and about exactly what painting was to be completed, but once notified, SES got a crew back to our house ASAP to finish the work. We are very happy with the results and plan to use SES for work we will complete later this year.

It was a great experience. SES is incredibly responsive. Got in and did the job on a tight timetable.

They quoted $32000. We had some leaks in our roof; this other company came and did a coating last year, which was supposed to be warranted for 5 years, except when something goes wrong that’s not warranted. There had been a really bad hail storm here and we had some damage from the hails. We had an insurance adjustor come and when he was up there; he said that we have got a couple of spots on the top of the roof that is really squishy. I had the company that did the coating come back because there was a leak. They said it must have gotten hit by a tree; first they said it was a bullet. Around New Orleans people do that and on New Year’s Eve they fire guns. It wasn’t a bullet, maybe it was the size of a bullet. I said that it could have come from two directions; it either came from inside the house, in which case I would have had a hole in my ceiling going out, which I don’t; or if it came from above, if you slipped your finger through the hole, it should seal the bullet. They did and said it was probably not the bullet. I decided that I was fed up with them and went on Angie’s List and saw all the roofers with A rating. Sometimes, it is based on 1 or 2 people; SES was based on maybe 123 or 130 people, so that meant something to me. That’s why I called them. When I called the old company to ask them about the areas of the roof that was squishy and they had just put down this coating. I asked them if something was wrong, then why put the coating on top of something that was rotting. They said if there was water under there; it would be leaking into the house and they didn’t see it as a problem. But SES said it’s rotted and you can feel it when you put our foot on it and that shouldn’t happen. They said that they really felt that they should replace the whole thing because there were problems in different areas all over the roof and different kinds of problems. We haven’t done anything yet as we don’t have $3200 lying around. They gave us an estimate for $22000 just to do certain parts of it; but they said because there are so many different problems, they couldn’t really warranty that in the long term. I will use them again in the future.

Very responsive, completed the job quickly and well

As a single female homeowner who makes a sparse living in education, I did not feel for a moment that I was in any way in danger of being ripped off. What professionals! First of all, neither of the men who met with me about the estimate used the word "we", which is an old trick that many less than honest men use with single women. There is no we here: just me and my checkbook. Second, if I felt uncomfortable with a situation, Mr. Sanne addressed it immediately. He actually listened to me. Third, the work is beautiful. I have paid far much more for less in the past. I am very impressed with SES overall. Penny, in the office, deserves get a raise for all of my calls and adjustments. I hope to have SES complete future work on my cottage, and I have recommended SES to my other single female homeowner friends.

I needed a Christmas Miracle. My mother, who recently had back surgery, wanted to spend Christmas to New Years with us, but our bathroom was an accident waiting to happen. The previous owners of the house had built a platform on which the tub, sink, and toilet set. The platform had uneven steps and was all slippery tile. There was no shower. I had been demolishing the old shower and never got the time to rebuild it. I had been told that a fall would be disastrous for my mother. She is the beginning stages of osteoporosis. This was slowing down her recovery as she needed to build healthy bone over the spinal fusion site. She might not be able to have another surgery if she damaged her back. My parents wouldn't entertain the notion of staying in a hotel. "If you can do it, we'll be fine. She'll be careful.", my dad said. So, two weeks before Christmas I called Penny at SES. Perry came over a few days later and looked at me like I was crazy, but reassured me that he would try to get the work done by Christmas. Cameron, Shawn, and Craig came over the next week and worked long hours to meet the deadline. The finishing touches were completed the day before my parents arrived. The bathroom looks great, and the shower is amazing. Thanks guys, you really came through for us.

Went well overall; very good communication from the company, prompt and professional service, etc. The result is quite good, though there is one area I found after they left that I'll need to sand and repaint - no big deal, and had I not been ready to leave the house as they were finishing I could have asked them to do it and they would have, I'm sure. I did have to check their work and ask for a revision of part of the door - it wasn't closing completely. I really shouldn't have had to point out the problem and ask them to fix it, but when I did they corrected it promptly and properly.

We chose SES Enterprises based on their Angie's list reviews and couldn't be happier with their personnel, work ethic, pricing and quality of services performed. Since they are a full-service contractor, we'll look no further for future construction and remodeling services.

I want to provide my highest recommendation for SES Enterprises. They were always on time and did an excellent job. Sean was always available to discuss any issues and was always the utmost professional. The work crew always showed up on time and worked efficienctly, very hard, and did an excellent job. Given all the difficulties with finding a reliable excellent contractor in the New Orleans area, SES is a jewel. Penny in the front office was also excellent. I give them my highest recommendation and plan to send more work their way. Great job!

I cannot say enough about the courteous, punctual, and quality work that I received from SES. I am from out of state and was working on a tight time line to get estimates and work done. Shawn and his crew were extremely professional, punctual, and enthusiastic. Penny, Shawn's secretary, returned calls in a timely manner and it was such a pleasure to be able to have a contact person who was computer savvy as a lot of our communication was done via email. We had all the work done on our house while we lived in Mississippi and were not able to supervise. Hence, it was extremely important that we had a reliable and professional company do the work. We were also working on a tight budget, which Shawn was able to meet. He was reasonable and willing to work within our budget and time frame. Additionally, several months out I noticed that a few things were not replaced or put back after he painted the outside. I called and he immediately answered and promptly scheduled a time to replace the things that were left off after the job was done. The house turned out beautiful! We rented it within 2 weeks after being on the market. I could not have been happier. In fact, have asked him to be my "go to person" for all future repairs and upgrades.
