SES repaired and painted the outside of our 100+ year old wooden Barge Board house in Uptown New Orleans, including the exterior doors and front of shed earlier this year. They replaced all bad wood, including a sill for our large picture window in our kitchen, which included some inside work. They sanded, sealed and painted the house with multiple colors for trim, windows, house, etc. They were recently painting the house next door and I asked them to caulk and paint a few spots that had expanded, which is normal for an old wooden house. They repaired those spots and painted them without a question at no additional cost. SES is a great company to hire for any type of work you need. They go the extra mile by fixing things that I would not even know needed to be fixed, all at the original price that was given to us before the job started.

I thought that their service was prompt and they took care of what I wanted and when I wanted it and worked around my schedule, so it all worked out really well. They did a great job.

SES unable to make appt for roof leak until more than a month in the future..I would say it did not go well overall

SES did a very professional job in the time they said they would. I found them to be easy to work with and accessible. The sunroom looks great and the fence is still standing! I would call them again.

I called SAS for an estimate on power-washing and touch-up painting on my house. The man who came by to do the estimate was very nice and professional. However, I have been waiting over 10 days for an estimate. I called the company yesterday and spoke to the receptionist about the issue. She was very nice and professional as well. However, I still have not gotten my estimate.

SES was in crisis mode because of a natural disaster, and they performed wonderfully. In addition to having to cope with damages all over the region, they also had personal difficulties that made operation difficult. Owner Shawn Sammes's wife was having delicate surgery, and he was balancing home and hospital responsibilites with climbing on my roof to fix my problems. Receptionist Penny gave birth during my "ordeal," but she barely dropped a stitch in keeping me up to date. I got terrific service during difficult times, and I will call them back for other work when things are normal because I know they'll be on the spot.

They were life savers. I called Monday afternoon about a tripping the main breaker. They could give me an appointment Tuesday but I was not able to have someone meet them until Thursday. Tuesday during the day, my power panel caught fire. (Luckily the house did not) Called them Wednesday morning. They had people at my home within an hour who were able to begin repairs. We had the power back on with nice new panel by 3:30pm. They cleaned up after themselves and even disconnected everything from the generator and plugged back into where they belonged. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Rental property -Renters had reported wet carpet in the corner of the living room. I called a couple of contractors I had worked with in the past to get someone to look at it. When this didn't work - i went to Angies list and started reviewing the contractors and their ratings. I called SES Enterprises for them to go out and look at what was causing the water inside. The sent me an estimate that wasn't very detailed so I had to call and talk to the person who did the estimate to find out it was the siding that was bad and rotted some wood underneath and caused the leak in side. The windows were bad and leaking also which caused additional water in the same room. I had the old siding removed and the rotten wood underneath repaired and then new vinyl siding installed. When they gave me the estimate of repairs they also recommended that I put in new windows first. They recommended a window company and said that their prices would beat theirs and that they had recieved good reviews on this company from other customers. They were very professional and easy to work with. Scheduling the start date took a couple of try's. They had arranged for delivery of dumpster to be able to remove all the trash quickly. The quality of the work was impressive. The hurricane Isaac interrupted the job but they quickly finished it the following week.e

He seemed overpriced. I only needed the estimate on the outside but he came in the house. As far as the estimate too, he only needed to look at the side not the top of the roof. He was supposed to come earlier but ended up coming two days later. My mother was there, I was only on my way, but my mother did feel like he treated her well while he was there.

· SES came out to inspect the instulated patio cover and gave us an estimate of the work that need to be done. · We received an estimate of the cost for the work via email · We agreed on the price · SES came out and completed the work. At first we had 2 minor leaks and they responded quickly and repaired them. · Our patio cover never leaked during hurricane Isaac (29 August 2012) · SES has integrity like no other Roofing company we have seen.

Once again excellencent service.

OVERALL-The company itself was incredibly flexible, responsive and understanding. Their customer service is unmatched. However, the quality of work and the craftsmanship of some of their employees is definitely sub-par at times. See below. The work was completed in a timely manner and has held up. The secretary, Penny, was very helpful and flexible in setting up times and rescheduling based on our work schedules after the estimate was delivered. The estimate accurately reflected final pricing upon completion, and we have been generally happy with all of the projects and their outcomes, except as noted below. There were several cosmetic issues with the final work. The sharpie marker used to mark off the new light switches installed was left on the wall, visible, and we had to repaint to cover it up (We had just painted a few months ago!) The light switchplates themselves were left off completely until we complained to the company and they brought some and installed them. The pendant lights were intstalled but they left holes cut in the ceiling around the base until we mentioned that they needed to patch said holes (after they said that they had finished the job). The new drywall patching a crack in the bedroom wall was left unpainted as well. We voiced these concerns to the company and they were very responsive in sending out a manager to check on these issues and in sending out guys to fix them. All the issues were solved, or, so we thought! One of the men who painted the drywall for us actually knocked our brand new fan with his ladder and broke it (and did not tell us he had done so). That began a whole new saga of phone calls and visits until it was replaced. They did buy us a new fan and install it for free, finally. It was, in the end, a lot of work on my end. I would have rather paid someone to complete the job in a professional and aesthetically pleasing way and not had to worry about any of these issues. I will use them again and give them another chance, as their customer service was fabulous. Hopefully the quality of work will be higher next time.

Shawn and SES are everything I had hoped, but never expected, to find in a local contractor. Every aspect of this large project was done with efficiency and skill, as well as meticulous attention to detail. On the few occasions when I raised some small detail, Shawn was prompt, agreeable and cooperative in every way. I was also grateful to have the entire project overseen by one contractor, and was always able to contact Shawn easily. I was given frequent updates and visits from him as the project progressed. The new porch decking might serve as a small example of how they work: After removing the old decking and replacing some rotted joist sections, they precut the new decking, then stained each individual piece top bottom and ends, giving particular attention the the tongue and groove sections, before installing. After the decking was down they then applied no less that three further coats to insure that this new porch material will NOT rot and split like the old, which was unpainted except for the surface. During the entire process they maintained a temporary section of porch deck leading to my door, so that I wouldn't be inconvenienced by the work in progress. The only time I couldn't use the door was when the stain was drying!! Most especially, these folks are HONEST BROKERS! They didn't even require a downpayment until the work was 50% complete! You can work with them with complete trust. What the say they will do, they WILL complete and with pride of workmanship. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had this experience and I know I will be calling on them again as the interior of my house needs work. THANK YOU Shawn and Penny!

This could not have gone more smoothly. All work was completed for the estimated amount, and despite the challenges with the weather, they finished the job ahead of schedule. Employees were always on time every day, and every person I dealt with was pleasant and friendly. Will absolutely use SES again.

work was done in approprate time, could have been a little faster

They took out a small clumsy closet to make an alcove for a dressing table, they put shelves in an existing closet,they assembled a large armoire, they completely rewired the room and put in new lights, etc. They did the same kind of work for an upstairs bedroom---new lighting, new drywall, new receptacles, updating.They painted in both rooms and resurfaced some walls, also hung sheetrock for new ceiling.They were efficient, very punctual, did everything I said, and when we asked for increased insulation on one wall, they gave us a new estimate and it was done quickly.I have no complaints.

They were very helpful and I would definitely use them again.

The staff at SES were great to deal with. They were very prompt with any information that I needed and quick to answer any questions. They were very pateint and accomodating in dealing with my insurance company. The work was completed very quickly and looks great. The guys who were at my house doing the work, were also great. I had no concerns about them being there working when I wasn't there. Overall, I am completley satisfied with SES and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We didn't hire them only becuase of the price.

Our relationship with SES was so good that I actually miss not having them around. From our first meeting when they found out what we wanted until our last meeting when we were all paid and finished we felt we were dealing with good friends. The gentlemen who came out to do the different types of jobs were all very nice, did their job and left the site clean and neat each day.SES is very lucky because the sweet young lady in the office is SO capable. She knows what she's doing and keeps things moving along.

I got some experienced people for less money.

The guys showed up at 7:00 am and got right to work. They did the work in less time than we expected. I was extremly happy that the work was finished, and that they cleaned up, before my husband arrived home. However, when we checked the finished product of the concrete work we were both very unhappy. They had used too much water, thus making the finished product of very poor quality. SES read the review on Angie's List and promptly responded. To our amazment, they offered to redo the entire project! We were extremely pleased to learn that there are companies out there that still take pride in their work! We have the highest regard for this company, and would strongly recommend them to anyone in the future!

Incredibly fast response (same day by phone), subbed out to a roofer (Brennan) who gave an estimate the next morning, could start the work as soon as I was ready. I couldn't respond immediately and finally did on a Friday morning. They did an emergent patch to the roof that afternoon before the rain on the weekend, then came back and finished the job on another day. It's been a month of heavy rain and it appears to be holding. Brennan is a young go-getter.

My husband said the guy who came was just fantastic. He explained everything to my husband and taught him a lot about electricity while he was here. He was on time and pleasant. The price was not inexpensive but it was definitely worth it. We are very pleased with the results.
