The person that pulled the permit did not do the work.  He subcontracted soomeone licensed intTX to do the work.  those heloers did not speak or understand English ery well.  They fried the timer for the carport lights.  They wired it so that hen you turned on the kitchen light the carport light came on.  Only 2 smoke alarms were installed and they also had code violations.  They were next to the oven so when I used the oven the alarms went off.  The contract ws a joke.  They did not do the work for serious code violations was never completed.  Chief electrical inspector came out and work was so wrong.  The electrician was fined and SES ws fined.  I was told by the chief electrical inspector to complain and go to the attorney general.  The sub contractor does not have a electrical license. He may have had it then but may have been pulled. Also the guys did not sho wup for work.  The Texas electrician would come without his helpers then say he couldn't do much of anything because he didn't have his helpers.  Never labled the circuit breaker panel.  They were to install 2 heater light vents in 2 bathrooms, lost parts so had to buy new ones. Never worked on backyard lights.  Workers kept saying they were going to be finished in a day and were rushing thru the job not finishing the job right or completely.  They took the money and tried to push more expenses on me that they were responsible for.  You have to be extremely specific or hey won't do it.  If you use this company at all make sure they are bonded.  Do not give this company any money up front unless they are bonded.  SES also demands entire amount of projects paid up front.

I called Penny, the secretary, about getting a contractor or installer to do the multi-tasking jobs as I mentioned early. She recommended Perry to come for an estimate work. The first estimate was about $650.00 which it was out of my budget. I eliminated the electric and comode work of my list which he accepted $450.00 for the entire work . I called Penny to get a plumber first because the water from the old faucet was dripping constantly which did replaced the new one stem valve successfully. One week later I have not heard from her so I called her and found out that Perry was out of town to attend the funeral which I understood and moved to on the May 11th (Saturday). At three days before the plan started, I called her and found out that he wanted to change to the 18th of May instead of the 11th of May. At first I was frustrated but calm and suggested him to come during the evening instead of working all day during the weekend which it works out great from them. I originally thought Perry did all of the job by himself but I was wrong. He did some of the job but was with his boss and other co-workers in different time that help him to speed up the job. What I was impressed with him was that he always informed me about the problem came up before the job was done. Also, I instructed the co-workers to do the baseboards and quarter-round work in the guest room and masterbedroom closets. They forgot about the closet in the m/b but Perry did the work. His willingness was paramount with no doubt about missing the job that I was very pleased. I gave them the overall outstanding performance except the professionalism was dropped to an B because the co-workers did not clean up the debris after the job was done.

SES came on time and finished in a single day- the job was well done and not rushed, small kitchen and the outcome is beautiful- fresh white cabinets.  they also touched up a crack in the wall they noticed.  SES is very professional and I felt comfortable trusting them in my condo while I was at work.  They cleaned up their mess and you wouldn't even know they were there if it wasn't for the improvements.

Both areas are now a true showcase. I am a real pain in the a** when it comes to having work done . I am very particular and demanding. The owner of the company , Sean, handled it all with aplomb. His workers satisfied all of my requirements.

Next project will be the kitchen and Sean will again handle it.

Shawn had done work on our house in the past, so when we were ready to remodel our bathroom and have some other painting done, we didn't think twice.  We sent SES a down payment on Dec. 2nd.  Later we were told they would not be able to start until Feb. 19th because they could not have a team available until then.  Shawn had told us that the bathroom remodel would take a week - he understood that people did not like to be out of their bathroom any longer than they had to be.   In actuality, there never was a team.  the project took over 2 months to finish - there were full weeks when no one came out at all.  And no one ever contacted us to let us know what was happening.  My husband called one time and was told that the problem was trying to get a plumber and electrician to come to the north shore.  Surely that is something that should have been taken care of before the sheet rock was torn down and we were living in a dust bowl!  While our bathroom turned out very nice, I would not call SES again.

Pros:
They did negotiate price some to be competitive.
Reviewed entire job with supervisor before work started.
Cons:
Called at last minute to come out, so we didn't have time to do self remove of
old gutters (so the begrudgingly did it for free).
Supervisor left after crew started working, and they needed direction.  Did not feel they were professional at all.
Had to loan them my ladder, as they didn't come fully prepared.
Caught them using some smaller size wood in eaves than what they pulled out (2x4 vs 2x6). Insisted they correct.
Also had to make them fix woodwork that was not in-line/square with existing woodwork.
Explicitly explained to supervisor that downspouts needed to exit on ground, not into old clogged drain pipes. The crew ignored this on 4 out of 7, so I had to fix myself.
Not at all happy with appearance of how outside corners of gutters are assembled -very rough and amateur looking.
Had to clean up lots of leftover scrap all around house, wood and metal. Luckily no one stepped on jagged aluminum.
There was no follow up visit or call.

SES has done my entire house renovation .  I found them on Angies List last fall and we began with a kitchen renovation, I was extremely happy with the quality of the work, the professionalism, and how clean they kept everything clean during the job.  What I appreciate so much about them is that they make what you want work and that they do it right.  I also appreciate that they take a punch list seriously and there are no little things that don't get done.
The next project they did for us was a closet addition...  they were almost done but the window was 2" off center with the house and so they redid it - I was amazed because I didnt even notice (and I usually notice little things like that) and I didn't have to ask - they just had to make it just right.
The next project we did was replacing windows, then a master bathroom renovation - turned out great... then we did a back house renovation, then two bathroom renovations.  Everything has turned out awesome.
I enjoy working with SES, and their work speaks for itself.  I have worked with other contractors in the past (this is our second Garden District home) but after working with SES I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I am new to the area and found SES through Angie's list.  Shawn came out when promised and provided a very thorough evaluation of the work needed. We discussed alternatives and costs with Shawn taking a lot of time to explain the reasoning behind each suggestion.  I needed a number of things done.  Wood rot on the outside,  painting of outside, new gutters and patio covers and cover for car.  All items were quoted in writing and accepted by me in writing.  Work was scheduled and the people showed up when promised.  It was a crew of workers who worked carefully and efficiently.  They were careful to clean up each day and keep us informed of what was done and what remaining.  Work was of the best quality with careful attention to detail and explanation of something needed to be changed from what we first agreed to.  I have already recommended them to my neighbors and plan to use them again for some additional work we are planning.

The job was done to my satisfaction. However, I found that the workers were late everyday to the job and would leave without letting us know that they were leaving or when they were coming back.
We had to call the main office and find out where the workers were on two occasions when a.) they didn't show up on time for the first day of work and b.) when they didn't show up to put the finishing touches on the fence on the second day.
The foreman was very nice and seemed to be the only one "with it".
The job did get done and we are satisfied with the work, but I found that the level of babysitting was a little bit more than I would care for and it was a very "New Orleans" type of experience.

The quality of the work was exceptional! The price very reasonable and is what they say it will be, without extra charges for anything. The kitchen/living transformation is just short of miraculous. From the flooring on up to the cabinetry, counters, plumbing, electrical, dry wall and painting, I had nothing to put on a punch on the final walk through. It was not only complete to order, but beautifully executed.  I  plan on having them back to do the bathrooms in the fall.
One thing that is apparent about this company, which has over 30 employees, is that at least with respect to the ones I met, they all seem like a close family, work great together and all have great customer service. I left them a key and after leaving them working in the morning, came home to a clean house. (And that's not easy to do with renovations happening).

From my initial contact through the sales/information visit to our home to the workmen that came to install the tub, our experience was TOP NOTCH! Punctual, installed in less than a day, clean as clean can be, and very professional. I could not have asked for a better experience!

I have a roof that has a lot of peaks and is quite tall.  They showed up on a Friday morning with an entire crew.  Had all their materials neatly placed, along with a trash bin.  They worked on the roof without any disruption to myself or my neighbors.  Cleaned up each day before they left.  The entire roof was completed in 5 days (worked throughout the weekend); and everything was cleaned up when they finished.  Absolutely no issues and a great experience.

We wanted to get our bathroom remodeled, so we contacted SES and two other companies for estimates.  All of the estimates were fairly close, but after speaking to the owner (Shawn) we felt the most comfortable selecting SES to perform the work.  Shawn came on the first day to go over everything that would be done before the crew started working.  The work took four full days to complete.  They asked if they could stay late each day to keep working, which we preferred to get it done as quick as possible.
After all work was completed Shawn came back out to make sure we were happy with everything, and there were a couple small things we asked if they could do that were not in the original description of work because we didn't think of it at the time, and he had his guys come back to take care of them.
We have used them one time since then to fix a fence that was affected by Hurricane Isaac and to replace several windows.  And this job went very well also.

Everything has been going nice.  They are on hold because we have to get some more money before we can go ahead with the repairs. There is nothing I disliked about them.  They were quick to come out.  They were very knowledgeable of what they were doing.  They answered my call every time I called.  They were cheerful, courteous and polite.  I can’t say anything bad.  They were prompt.  Regarding the price I had no comparison.  Regarding responsiveness they had to wait a lot for some deliveries and stuff.  Every time they said they were coming they came at that time.  They knew what they were doing.

I found SES on Angie's list and as a property manager was looking for an all in one contractor to do repair work.   We had a leak in the ceiling of the unit that we live in on the 4th floor of the building.  Penny, Sean, Perry and Chris got the job done beautifully.  It took a long time- mostly due to weather delays- but they wouldn't stop until it was perfect.  The leak was a real beast and they wound up doing a MUCH larger repair to a larger area of roof to finally fix the problem but they never surprised me with a new invoice.  They were so attentive and Chris would often call when it was raining so ask if any water was coming in after they had finally fixed the problem.  We decided to use them for the rest of our exterior repair.
Because our ceiling and wall were taken down to fix the leak we decided to use the opportunity to add built in shelves in the wall.  Their carpentry crew was awesome!  They had the brilliant idea to add lights to the built ins making them so great for displaying art.
They rebuild  dormer windows that were never sealed on the outside.   The exterior needed carpntry work and paint and they were very detail oriented.
We also used SES to do the exterior painting in our courtyard which included a number of balconies.  Their quote was far less than others had tried to charge us (difficult access being in the quarter makes many painters want to rip you off) and although it took a long time to get scheduled because they are so booked up when they did come they were done in no time.  It was a huge job and it took them barely a week.  They repaired some of our leaking and fallen gutters when they did this too as a bonus!
The last and largest job was the front facade.  We had many deep cracks in the stucco and it needed to be completely resurfaced.  Their crew did an expert job.

The roof needed to be replaced because of damage done from hurricane Isaac. I called SES because I was very well pleased with the previous work they had done for me repairing my patio cover. SES came out, inspected the roof and sent me an estimate via email. I agreed and we set a date for the work to be done. SES came out and removed and replaced the roof in one day. Their work and professionalism is more than what I expected. I highly recommend them and would use them in the future!!!

The stucco on from of my house after 10 yrs was chipping and cracking.  SES's representative came out, assessed house and to my pleasant surprise told me I did not need to have my stucco replaced.  It was still in great condition and all that was need was to be scraped, filled, sealed and skim coat. Replacement would have been at least double what SES charged. Estimate was on time as well as the work crew who were courteous and informative.  Job took 2 days and had to be reschedule twice because of weather.  Company responded in a timely manner and the post review/inspection went excellent, nothing more to do! He also explained/instructed me on doing touch up (if necessary but don't expect to) with the unused material!  During the post inspection we also covered additional work needed on the roof. He straight away got on roof for assessment and an estimate is forthcoming.  This will be the second one and I expect it to be the favorable one.  Overall a very helpful, personable and professional Company.

This was actually the fist company we used from this website and we couldn't be happier. The people at SES Enterprises are very patient and professional. The project we contacted them for was to install a new entrance door to our house. They worked with us to get a door we liked but the size of our entrance is different from modern doors; so we went with another company to get a door delivered to our house. This took a couple of months of hunting for a place that can help us and throughout all that time SES was patient and their Office Administrator kept in contact with us. Once we had the door delivered we were finally able to get a date set for SES to install the door. The two workers arrived on time and were very friendly and professional the whole time they were in our house. They installed the doors, the hardware and even made sure to drill a hole for the new peep-hole. They also made sure to prime the outside molding they installed(we didn't have them paint the doors since we were going to do that ourselves). The Owner of SES even stopped by to make sure we were happy with how things were going, and while he was there we asked him if they did roof estimates; he was able to get up on our roof right then to see the damage and said he would send us an estimate. When I asked about the payment he said they don't ask for a payment until we are completely satisfied with the work they have done. After that they cleaned up the slight mess that was made and took the old door with them so we didn't have to worry about it. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the results and are happy with their workers professionalism.
