Description of Work: Air conditioner was not putting out cold air. Called Trahan's because this is the company that the builder used on the original installation. Service tech came out to the house - on time - very polite - and checked the outside unit. Said there could be a small leak and he put freon into the system however he couldn't see the leak. Said it could be the coils but would have to see if the freon held. A/C worked fine the Thursday night. Friday we went out of town and when we arrived back Saturday night the air conditioner was not working. Called Trahan's however they do not do service calls on Sunday. Explained that they had just come to fix the A/C unit and it was not working again. We are talking May in southern Louisiana my home was very hot. We called another A/C company to come out on the Sunday. It was the coils that was bad and that was noticed right away. I did not realize the coils were in the attic and the service tech with Trahan's did not go in to the attic to check this. Monday morning I called Trahan's and spoke with the secretary about what had happened. I felt the service I had paid for was not rendered. She was very rude and said the owner would have to get back with me. At no point did I get ugly or rude with her. The next day I called back and she was rude again and I asked her to please have the owner call me. It took me three calls to the company to have someone call me back. I could have stopped payment on the check however I didn't want to do that. I wanted to resolve this in a professional way. Finally the owner called and I explained that I had no problem paying for the freon however I felt the $80.00 service call should be refunded because they didn't check all components of the air conditioner. The owner was very rude from the beginning. I could tell immediately he had no intention of working this situation out. His exact words were "we do not just go into attics because it is too hot". I was very furious at this point. When I told him I had to call someone else he said "you did not have to do anything you chose to". Very ugly and rude. I was so shocked at this treatment from this business owner. It was just a horrible experience and he did not care or even try to talk to me in a professional manner. His last statement to me was "why should I care or even give you money back". Needless to say in the end I used Kevin's Heating and A/C to change out my unit. Kevin was very reliable, courteous, and great pricing. Trahan's was AWEFUL.

The crew started work at about 8:30 AM and were finished at Noon. All work was first class, the clean-up was complete and the equipment operates without a flaw.
Description of Work: The Heating and Air Conditioning system in our home was totally replaced, outdoor unit, indoor unit and all ductwork and registers.

Their price is pretty standard. He called before he came and told me that he would be here is twenty minutes, and he was there in twenty minutes. I made the appointment, and they told me sometime between noon and 5, but that's kind of a turn off. But that might be standard too when we are doing maintenance. When they came, they were quick. They were probably only here for twenty minutes. My attic was blocked; he helped me move all the stuff from my garage. He was really nice about it. My fiancée wasn't here, so I was out there having to move all this big huge stuff. He had no problem helping me to able to get it to my attic, and that was really nice of him. I didn't have any problems. The girl I talked to on the phone didn't sound like she knew what was going on. She told me that they will be here on Tuesday and they were here on Tuesday. But I had to talk to her three times to make sure that it was on Tuesday. The guy that actually came out who I had to deal with was really great.
