+ -1 moreThe door arrived in 8 weeks and the installation was routine and flawless. Approximately 4 weeks later, a small wooden section of the door jamb broke off from the lower corner. The door is only used for normal entry and exit from the house to a deck so we were perplexed as to how and why this could have happened. I called the company and was greeted with disinterest. I asked if the door was still covered by a warranty and was told yes. The salesman said an inspector would contact me to arrange a on-site inspection of the door. We never heard another word. I realize this is a small job for a company used to working with contractors but their overall customer service is very poor. If I had to do it over again, I probably with go with a national retailer. We like to use local companies whenever possible but I cannot recommend Jefferson Door.
Description of Work: We added a exterior (French) door with sidelights to our home and our contractor recommended Jefferson Door. We went to showroom and ordered a metal exterior door with wood trim that could be painted to match house paint colors. Delivery took 8 weeks.
