+ -1 moreMr. Hawkins diagnosed each problem, gave me a price for the work & fixed all but the house AC. (I need a new unit & am not doing that at this time.) My freezer keeps ice and has stayed cold! The water heater is hooked up & works great and I love the new outlet. He patiently listened to what I wanted done, addressed each issue with options, used quality parts, and cleaned up after his work. I'm so pleased I found Mr. Hawkins on Angie's List & highly recommend him to you.
Description of Work: I had multiple problems - a 240V water heater hooked up, a 110V rerouted, and a refrigerator that wasn't as cool as it needed to be (the ice melted in the freezer!), and my house AC wasn't blowing cold air anymore.

+ -1 moreVery well. Mr Hawkins was very prompt and explained what he was doing and what process I should follow for activating the backup system. Hos price was very reasonable and when he had to increase it slightly from his original estimate, he explained why and it made perfect sense. Because my generator was not working when he completed the work, he came back a week later to test and make sure it was working.
Description of Work: Created a plug for connecting my manual generator into my home breaker box. This will allow me to run my generator on the house grid safely and without tying into the main utility grid.

+ -1 moreWe also resurfaced the cabinets in our kitchen. His craftsfmanship was outstanding. He was extremely conscientious, matched the color perfectly. This was done with new wood doors instead of particle board doors as well. Cost $600. We had a major leak from the water company. Mr. Hawkins came out at night, fixing it. $Cost $90. He is an outstanding craftsman who is totally honest.
Description of Work: We needed several things done over a period of time. Our air conditioner wasn't working. Mr. Hawkins found the problem, determined the air conditioning had been installed wrong, and fixed it. It has worked perfectly since. In addition he serviced the unit (inside and out), which had never been done prior to our purchasing the home. The air conditioning bill has gone down, and the results allowed us to have cooler air. He was timely in his response as well.

+ 0 moreThe work was excellent. Mr. Hawkins had extra tools and spare parts to make everything work. He utilized many electric and hand tools to complete the job. He was quite professional, knowledgeable, and he did a quality job.
Description of Work: We needed an old hard wired electric stove removed. After spending 2 hours attempting to do it, we discovered we couldn't figure out how to remove it. We called Mr. Hawkins, who came within an hour. He was able to remove the stove, which had many 'hidden' attachments to cabinets successfully. He then had to make more space for our new electric range and oven and to hard wire it. He completed all worked within 2 hours.

+ -1 moreMr. Hawkins was very professional, punctual and explained everything he had to do. His price was very, very reasonable compared to other handymen and plumbers I contacted. Mr. Hawkins told me that he found mold and that a portion of the sheet-rock was water-damaged. Overall, I was extremely pleased.
Description of Work: Replaced bathtub faucet and shower. He had to cut through a cabinet wall to get to the faucet. He had to cut and solder copper pipes.

Description of Work: Emergency call and temporary repair for house water pump. Returned and repaired wires to pump.
