AIR-IT INCORPORATED

I have used this company before for my home air conditioning service needs and I had no problems with them at all. I had a problem with my outside unit and I sent them to inspect and submit an estimate to fix the unit. I also sent out 3 other companies to bid for the job. Their price came a bit high, not the highest so I decided to go with another company. A few weeks later, I receive a bill from Air-it for a service call for $87 for their inspection and submitted estimate, as if it were a service call. Of the 4 companies I sent out, they were the only ones who billed me for that service. I received a call a few weeks later from the company asking why I had not paid an earlier invoice. I apologized for not paying the bill, thinking I had given them a credit card to bill, and told him I would pay the invoice as soon as possible. He then told me I owed the extra money for the service call. I asked him why I owed him anything because it wasn't a service call, but an inspection for future business and a chance to bid on a job. His tone changed, he raised his voice and he was no longer a decent person to have on the phone. I told him none of the other three companies I had sent out there has sent me a bill, but he insisted that I had sent him on a service call. Nothing was serviced. He did an inspection of a unit and came back to me with an estimate. Just to get him off the phone, I told him I would pay the bill and never use his service again. Of course, after I said that, his parting words were not so nice, if you know what I mean. All in all, there are much better companies who service air conditioning units for homes that I would use well before Air-It Incorporated. I would not recommend their services at all and definitely continue a search for better, more customer friendly air conditioning service company.
