Acadian Rodent & Animal Control

BEWARE. This company is a scam. About a month ago I called Fitz who I believe is the owner in desperation because of squirrels in a wall of my home. A worker named Seth came out for a "consultation" which entailed about a 5 minute inspection of my attic whereby he stated he found "no evidence of squirrels or rodents". He then did an outside "inspection" of the exterior of my home, set 2 traps where he saw 2 possible entry points on my gutters. My home is 3200 sq feet and he set up 2 traps, only 2 traps! No inspection was done under my house or deck. I signed a contract and paid $195 up front and was subsequently told that there would be $65 a charge for additional work. I signed the contract which does not outline the total terms of their services. After a week the traps remained empty. I called Seth and he came and set up 2 more traps. I was not charged. None of the traps set up were anywhere near the wall of the problem. After another week they insisted I must have rats but never came for another inspection. I called Fitz again expressing my concern about the problem not being solved and requested more help. Mr. Fitz was very defensive, talked over me, raised his voice to me about the 1000s of jobs he has performed, and he would not listen to anything I had to say. He stated "we don't make money unless we catch animals". I'm still unsure what was meant by that statement. He was extremely disrespectful and rude and he would not listen to me. I had an appointment today whereby I believed another approach would be taken to help my situation. Seth took the 4 traps off my home and left with no word. I then texted him regarding the situation and he referred me to a pest control company to set up bait poison. I left a message for Fitz and I have not received a call back. I DO NOT recommend this company. I feel scammed and totally taken advantage of.

The owner of the company is local New Orleans and easy to deal with- and the perk, I never had to go in my attic!!! This company is licensed by LA Wildlife and Fisheries, and removes all sorts of rodents legally and humanely. You can tell they love animals. I never dealt with raccoons before- so I was somewhat worried about the procedure and the price. They provide a great service and follow the job through to the end, which means a few trips (quick trips -to either reset traps to make sure they get everything, and to retrieve the live animals.) I think the price was fair, especially for the piece of mind, like I said, I'm new to this and didn't know where to start. They will even patch the holes and and tell you the problem spots your house may have. I don't write many reviews, but I thought that this may help someone.
