It went like clock work. Marc was there before i got there and started inspecting. I was very impressed that he didn't hesitate to get started. When i arrived he gave me an update of what he has already inspected. As he continued, he asked me to stay close to him so he could explain everything he was seeing. Although i had no power or water, he still showed me in his opinion what would need to be changed or repaired. He found a couple of items that myself and the owner missed and that was exactly why i needed him there. I would have no problem using Marc again if needed. Although he could not check the electrical nor water he did what he could and i was satisfied with his extra efforts.

Marc showed up on time and was incredibly thorough. I've been in the house for a little over three months now and I am completely satisfied that he caught everything needed. He spent a lot of time under our house, on the roof, in the attic, and looking pretty much everywhere. He tested all appliances and pointed out things I would never have thought to check for issues. He was incredibly helpful in giving us all the information we needed to ask for repairs or concessions from the seller. He took a lot of pictures that were included in his very thorough report, and he had the report to us by the night of the day he performed the inspection. I had several follow up questions for him in the weeks following the inspection and he was always very quick to respond.

The scheduling and inspection went great! I'm very familiar with how home inspections are done and Marc covered all the basics and then some. There were some parts of the home that were inaccessible due to furniture and other obstructions and he went out of his way to move those items to make sure the essentials like the A/C and furnace were checked. Gave very practical advice on things to watch for if we bought the home and things that would need replacing. Many of the items that he pointed out were included in our response to the sellers and were fixed. In comparison to other home inspections I've used, the one negative with 21st Century is the format of the home inspection report. I found it somewhat confusing and some of the most important elements, like brand names, model numbers and serial numbers of the appliances were not included in the report. All other inspection reports I've seen include this basic information which is helpful in determining the degree of maintenance and repairs you will need to make after buying the home. I know that this information was recorded during the walk through because I walked with him during the inspection and heard him dictate the information to his wife who is on the phone during the entire inspection. Overall, Marc is very experienced and knows his stuff and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get an accurate assessment of a home for purchase. If you do use him for a general home inspection, be sure to write down any information you deem important just to be safe.

Marc did a very good job, and I was impressed with the results, both his comments during the inspection and the report (which I received that day). The work product was high quality and I feel like his assistance was invaluable. We were also able to get a closing credit from the seller based on issues he found and his description of them in his report.

Marc, the owner of 21st Century, personally inspected the home we were considering purchasing. He was punctual, his price was in line with other companies' prices, and he was happy to respond to our questions in follow-up phone calls. Most importantly, he was very thorough throughout the inspection. He crawled around under the house and in the attic, and scaled all of the roofs. He took pictures of the major repair concerns and explained them in detail to us. His report was 30+ pages long - and this for a house that was in pretty good shape.
