I had an appointment to get an estimate on replacing cabinets in our kitchen. The person who was supposed to do the estimate never showed up and never called to cancel, re-schedule or give an explanation. If I can't even get the company to give an estimate at a scheduled time, I would never use that company to actually do any work.

We called B & B in early April for an estimate on kitchen cabinets. Darryl Shaffer came out and was helpful in helping us with the design and his estimate was reasonable. They were very professional and took care of everything and the cabinets are beautiful and very well made. They even did a few extras for us.

Overall we are very pleased with the process and the result. B&B is truly good people doing good work. Daryl came to our home, talked with us about what we wanted and even made a few suggestions, then gave us an estimate over the phone within a day or two. Once we placed the order, some details still remained to be finalized and we addressed them as they came up and updated the price as needed when we wanted upgrades. His timing was pretty accurate, and he even allowed us to postpone installation to accomodate our remodel schedule. We didn't have to pay the balance (50% due at start, balance on completion) until the job was done and we were satisfied. Daryl came out several times to adjust small things here and there (drawer size to fit our new cooktop, etc) and the final product looks great and custom fits our kitchen. We were able to increase and maximize the countertop space in our small galley kitchen thanks to Daryl's input. His down to earth and easy-going attitude made it all the more pleasant to do business with him. We'll be calling soon for bathroom vanities when we re-do the bathrooms!

The only problem with B&B was the fact they were busy and didn't always meet their timelines. Beautiful custom work at less than so called semicustom work from the home improvement stores. This guy is a real craftsman and takes pride in his work. Don't get excited about his showroom, but get excited about his quality.
