Stephen ended-up subbing-out my project to a group of Hispanic individuals. They didn't end-up cutting the bamboo or stager it how it should had been, so my floor is ruined. Once the job was complete, I told him that it didn't look right, but he didn't do anything about it. When doing my shower, they used the wrong grout. Stephen took advantage of good, hard-working people. He only paid them $2,800 and put the rest in his pocked, after ruining my floor and shower. I am just spreading the word about Stephen Spain, as I do not want anyone else to be taken advantage of by him. Overall, he is dishonest and unethical in his behaviors. If you want to see my house, you are more than welcome to contact me.

I was contacted by the member to install exterior stucco. By the time we had started on the stucco he probably already had called me 15 times to complain about other (illegible) contractors, who they were taking advantage of him and not finishing there work. I tried to help him out in different areas, such as completely tearing down and rebuilding a brick fireplace his brick mason had built. I also finished some exterior brick that I never billed him for. He was in a bind and I felt sorry for him. Someone had already started his flooring and for some reason did not come back. After he repedetly asked me to help him finish the flooring, or if I knew someone that could, I called some Hispanics I had met on a different job. They finished the flooring and I was the translator since I speak Spanish. 8 months later the member called me and told me they had layed the flooring wrong. Stephen Spain, owner.
