We had bought a home and went to pick out some carpets. They came and installed it. Everything was fine especially because we bought the most expensive carpet they had. So they were very excited with that. The only problem my husband had was that they didn't provide us a detailed receipt as to what the warranty covered. What they basically gave us was a notebook receipt. It was fine up until August of 2011. We started noticing that the carpet wasn't holding up to the standard. We called the owner and let him know of the situation. He said that he would send a rep and see what they could do for us.. We went 3 weeks without a reply. My husband called and talked to the same guy but the guy got ugly with my husband. He said they had nothing yet and they would call back. 2 more months went by with no reply. We called them and he got ugly with my husband again but this time they sent out the rep to do sampling of the carpet. When they checked they noticed that the carpet was defective. They said they would have a report in 2 weeks for us but we were going on a 2 week cruise so we wouldn't have it for a month. So after our cruise we contacted them. This time he got extremely irate with my husband and told him that he didn't want to see him in his business again. My husband had to get police help to pick up the report from them. We contacted the manufacturer. The rep contacted me and told me the carpet was $1300 at the most. Where our money was spent was in the installation of the carpet. We figured out that we were taken to the cleaners so to speak. The guy thought that we figured out which was why he was so ugly with us on the phone. The rep told me that he would get back with me because he was appalled by the situation. When we called him back we were told that his boss said that he couldn't speak with us because he could only deal with the distributor of the carpet. We eventually talked to an attorney. We will never use them again.
