Upon meeting with the sales person who sold a product I believed wouldn't work considering all filters need be changed eventually, I bought the system anyway. Just after signing the agreement I got a call from a co-worker who had also purchased the system and had been having it for a few yrs saying I shouldn't get it. The sales person asked how long my co-worker had his system, insuring me that the company had been bought by the current owner and was under better management. Now at present time I find that the company has been resold once again. According to the customer service rep., Wendy Embrey is no longer the owner. It's something in it self to know that the ownership of a company that specializes in the sales and service of what I now believe are inferior products are constantly changing hands. My grandparents, who purchased the system a few months prior to my purchase also have problems with the quality of their drinking water, even after opting to pay for the salt maintenance plan. It cost $149 to do a service call, while leaving me with the false since of security of thinking I have filtered drinking water. In all after having the rainsoft system for nearing two years I feel I was sold a financial agreement rather then a quality product.
Description of Work: An amazing in house sales demonstration where the sales rep showed me all of the impurities in my already filtered water. Prompt installation solidifying the financial agreement. It was all down hill from there. Now the sink filter needs to be changed just as much if not more then prior to the installation of the Rainsoft system. Quoting the sales rep. "this is a water purification system, don't confuse it with a water softener." Considering how often the sink filter needs to be changed, I don't see where this Rainsoft product really works.
