+ -1 moreWe started out with a Realtor who was recommended to us and was pretty shady. He'd only show us property listed by his company. He showed us about 7 run down homes. After which I knew nothing about real estate, but I knew I didn't like him. Ron worked so hard to find us the right house. He'd email us every morning with a list of houses that fit our criteria. He was very laid back about getting us to buy a house. Once he found us the one, he worked very hard to get the house for the lowest amount possible. Our home was listed by another realty company for $160K. Thanks to Ron's knowledge of Louisiana state laws and residential structure regulations, we only spent $145K! We met the selling Realtor on closing day, and she just kept telling us about how real estate savvy we were for being so young. She told us about how we 'dismantled' her selling strategy and she was so impressed. It was really Ron! Ron even came to our house warming/BBQ a month later and check up on us.
Description of Work: We told Ron what size/price/style of home we were looking for. Every morning he'd email us a list of homes that fit our criteria (not just M.A. Allen listed homes either!). If we were interested in any, all we had to do was email/call him. He'd inspect each house before showing it to us so he could show us everything he found wrong with it. Ron educated us on so many things that we now know to look for in our own home. He was not pushy by any means! Once he found us 'the one', he did everything he could to get the price of our home lower than the asking price. We didn't ask him to do this, nor did we know we could. He acted like it was his dime being spent on this house and he fought hard for every cent. We love our new home and have been in it for a year last week. It's like flying blind buying your first house and not know anything about real estate. Ron did his best to educate us every step of the way. We won't buy/sell real estate through anyone else in the state of Louisiana.
