+ -1 moreNick was great! He was the avant garde to my painting crew in that he inspected and prepared the surfaces for needed repairs. He located, purchased, hauled, trimmed, installed, and sanded four (4) 10" sq., solid, cypress columns on the front of my house. He then inspected the house (which had not been painted in nearly 20 years, and replaced all damaged and/or rotten soffit and facia boards. He also took care of removing an old, unused facia-mounted TV dish and replaced the facia and drip-edge to which it had been attached. He replaced the trim on the huge gable that is on the front of my house. Not an easy task as it's about 30' high at it's apex. By the way, he did all of this work alone! He had no helpers whatsoever. What a beast! Nick will always be my first call when I have repair jobs that need to be done around my home and office building. Thanks Nick!

+ -1 moreWe couldn't be more pleased. Nick is versatile, highly skilled, good at problem-solving, punctual and cheerful. His rates are also extremely reasonable.
Description of Work: Nick helped us with several small jobs including sheetrock work in a bathroom, tiling a small bathroom floor and shower, repairing rotten wood on outside eaves, and filling in an area of our deck where a hot tub used to be.

+ 0 moreNick is a great guy; works alone. Very trustworthy. Reasonably priced; even provided some materials he had from previous jobs at no cost. He is punctual and keeps you informed on his arrivals. Nick does carpentry; light electrical and plumbing, all of which he has done for me as I've hired him on several occasions. I highly recommend Nick Vizinat for home repairs and improvements.
Description of Work: Nick constructed two new closets in a bedroom that had none. The closets were built on each side of two windows so he added a bench with cubby holes underneath the windows.

+ -1 moreWe were satisfied with the earlier work he did, but are confused about our inability to re-establish contact and get this project finished. We have no idea where he lives, no way other than his cell phone to contact him.
Description of Work: Submitted on behalf of Charles V. Breard We located Nick through a home inspector friend, made contact through his cell phone, he came over promptly, gave us an estimate on repairs to exterior woodwork and door repair. Go ahead, he did the repairs neatly and quickly. About a month later, we hired him to paint and install 4 replacement exterior shutters (we furnished shutters and paint). He promptly applied the primer coat, then the first finish coat. Then he "fell of the face of the earth". We've not been able to contact him through the only thing we have, his cell number 225-939-6133. We don't know if he's mad at us, incapacitated, left town or whatever. We liked his work, we was polite, punctual, prompt, didn't loaf, didn't ask for money "up front"good about calling ahead, still owe him money on the painting work (left phone message: "Come finish up and/or get the money we owe you" - no response.).

+ -1 moreHe consulted me on problems when they arose and offered several solutions. He didn't just plow ahead and present me with a solution with which I may or may not be happy. He works by himself so the work takes longer than it would if he had a crew, but the quality of his work and the honesty of his character more than make up for any time loss. I highly recommend you use his services.
Description of Work: We have used his services several times over a five year period.He removed an old bar area and constructed a wall as well as replacing a built in electric oven wall unit. He removed and replaced my mom's dishwasher. Most recently, he removed an old, broken sink and vanity combo unit and replaced it with a pedestal sink. He is also in the process of replacing some windows with a set of French doors.
