I had an old Chevy truck that was running itself down and a family member had tried to repair my radiator that had been causing me trouble in the past. I had tried to have it repaired before, but unsuccessfully as I found out a few months later. From start to finish I had replaced the water pump, all the hoses, and had the radiator rodded, and this was all performed by two separate businesses. My truck overheated to the point of breaking my thermostat so I pulled into a parking lot and left it there for the night. There was a hole in yet another hose and it was spewing rust all over my engine. The next morning I brought it across the street to Denham Springs Radiator. They rodded my radiator while I was at work and had it ready for me by the end of the day. The owner told me the other company obviously didn't do a very thorough job. When I went to pick it up the owner told me that the cowl around my fan was broken and that it would be easy to fix, but I told him I wasn't very good with vehicles, so he had me go buy the part from the local Chevy dealer and bring my truck back and he raised it up on a platform and demonstrated how to fix it as well as showing me a few other tidbits on how things worked in the engine so that if I ever needed, I could resolve that minor problem again. This company went far above and beyond what I required for a very reasonable price and they are very prompt.
Description of Work: My truck had a rust encrusted radiator, a busted hose, and a busted thermostat, which had all been incorrectly "repaired" by previous companies. DS Radiator did all the work, very fast and very affordably. I talked to the owner when it was all done and explained how all the previous work was done and by whom, and he told me what they had done wrong and told me about a broken fan cowl on my truck. Since I was only 20 and had no knowledge how to repair it, he told me it was too easy to warrant paying a repair man to fix. So he had me go get the part and bring it and the truck back and he lifted my truck and replaced it for me, making sure he explained what he was doing, and showing me other things I could do myself. This was so very helpful and I am so appreciative. My father passed away when I was young and I have no one to show me these things and this man took time away from his own job and company he runs to help me and save me money.
