, Called Reed Appliance on Monday morning after Whirlpool refrigerator died over the weekend. Repairman came to the house within 3 hours of placing call. Diagnosed problem of thermostat, called in part to local part center and it would be delivered between 8 and 9:00 the next morning and he could come back to install it then. I had a scheduling conflict and called him when I was available the next day around 2:00 in the afternoon and he was at the house within 1/2 hour to install the part. Took about 15 to 20 minutes to put it all back together, check it out and he was off. Very efficient. Would definitely use again.

Repairman came within a few hours of my phone call and discovered water filter had cracked and was leaking. He changed the filter and solved the problem.

I called Mr. Reed to repair my GE refrigerator. He returned my call promptly and ran me through some trouble-shooting and diagnostic questions to hone in on the problem. He came out the same day I called and was able to repair the fridge by the next day. My wife indicated that he was very professional and courteous while in our home. I would definitely recommend his company.

Mr reed was prompt courteous and professional. He found a leaky hose and replaced it the same day.

Fantastic, always allowed us to bring equipment last minute, quick repair turn around time. Polite crew, helped get the equipment in/out of my car.

Reed came at the appointed time. He quickly saw that the fan was not working. He tested for power to the motor and to the compressor. Once he determined that both had power then he started the compressor to ensure it was still working. Then it was a matter of taking out the fan motor and replacing it with one that he had in his truck. Fortunately, he carries the commonly needed parts with him. Upon completion, he stayed for a short time to ensure that the compressor once running again was continuing to run.

Reed arrived promptly and quickly unstopped the drain. He showed me what to do in the event it should ever become stopped up again so I could fix it myself. Last year he repaired my washer and was likewise prompt, courteous and reasonably priced.

Mr Reed replaced an auger motor on refrig ice dispenser, and replaced an igniter on my gas stove top. Parts cost; stove $38, refrig $156. Labor cost $120 ($60 each). I was very satisfied with the service.

Mr. Guidry got back to me right away and came to look at the freezer the next day. He had to order a part and came back to install it a few days later. I have used Mr. Guidry for my appliance repairs for twenty years, although I have mostly new appliances now, so this was the only call in the last couple of years. He was prompt, courteous, and fair priced as he has always been in the past.

Had to call the manufacturer for a repair man, but he came out and did a great job and it was one of the two items Mr, Reed suggested could be wrong.

I thought, the guy was a really nice, white gentleman. He has message service where I left the message on, and he was very prompt in returning the call. He also asked me with the refrigerator problems, and he told me to go to my refrigerator and do certain things to troubleshoot before he would come and charge us. We really didn't know what we were looking at, and I called him back and I said, "Listen, come on out." He was trying to do preventive maintenance over the phone to avoid charging us. It was really a good attitude. He did come to the house, and we have to get a new refrigerator. He was still very helpful, and I would recommend him to anyone. In addition, his pricing is very reasonable. I would most definitely use him again in the future.

The fridge stopped cooling. At first we were considering getting a new fridge expecting the compressor was bad and the repair would run 500-800. After shopping for a new fridge costing and gt;1000 we decided to check Angie's list for a repairman and an estimate. Reeds was near the top with an A rating. We called his shop only to get an answer machine. Mr. Reed called us back within 30 minutes and was in the area. He arrived within 10 minutes of the return call. He said the problem was most likely the relay/capacitor and was correct. After replacing the items the fridge was running. The service call and parts were only $125. We are completely satisfied with this service provider.

I could not have asked for a better outcome!

I would not use this repair service again as individual showed us for assessment, committed to follow-up and never followed-up. We were having squealing sound with dryer and dryer won't shut off when door opens (safety hazard). After researching providers via Angie's list, requested service on upper dryer portion of a stacked dryer/washer combo. Dryer would not shut off after being opened (safety hazard) and made a constant high pitched squealing sound that would wake the dead. Initial assessment performed by Mr. Reed. Mr. Reed did not pull the unit away from the wall or open it up. Mr Reed communicated that we had a bad door switch and idler pulley needing replacement. He also told my very petite wife that she would need to move the machine out away from the wall when he came back so he could service the unit. Mr Reed committed to ordering the parts, getting back with us and started leaving our residence. I asked him if he was going to provide any sort of estimate. He verbally indicated that service charge was $50 and that return visit would be parts plus labor. I again asked him what the estimate would be for the return visit. He provided a dollar amount. I asked what the split would be between labor/parts and he provided that verbally. Mr. Reed committed to ordering the parts and call us back with firm estimate to repair and schedule date/time for a repair. Mr. Reed never called back or followed up. I saw this in other reviews, but given he was the only acceptably rated repair person, I moved foward with using him for the repair. Based upon my interaction with Mr. Reed and his demeanor during the initial visit where he told my wife she would need to move the stacked washer/dryer combo so he could service the unit when he came back, coupled with his not wanting to provide an estimate and my prior experience managing service repair companies, I suspect Mr. Reed is skimming easy jobs. He performs an initial assessment. If the job is easy and results in a high dollar/hour return to him, he does the work. If the job involves any significant labor effort, he commits to doing the work, then never calls back or shows up. Things done well and should continue to do: - Answer phone or respond to voice-mails in a timely fashion - Confirm address location and time on date of service - Show up on time Improvement Opportunities - things needing improvement - Validate what you have heard from prior conversation, don't show up and ask for a third time, and quot;what the problem?and quot; - Provide repair estimate (even if it has a wide range) before leaving and without being prompted/ asked by customer. - Ensure estimate is broken out by labor and parts - Ask the customer if they want you to return, don't just assume it. - Be receptive in words and actions to questions from customers - Call back with estimate and anticipated date to get parts - Call back to schedule actual repair - Call back if you ran into issues/obstacles that resulted in delays. Most people will understand and appreciate. - Complete all jobs, not just the high margin easy dollar jobs as our experience and the other reviews suggest you are doing. Would not recommend this service company to others. Repair was completed by me.

They came out to my home to see what the problem was and said he would return to repair it and never showed up.

Very good experience with this company.

It was a simple procedure that required removing the flange. I appreciated the common sense approach. The other alternative would have been to replace the entire hinge assembly at a much greater expense. That was not necessary as it is an older unit and the doors have never been removed.

I have been using them for years. I've got a lot of rental property, so I get a lot of work done. My experience with them has been great.
