 + 0 moreInitially, painter was fairly responsive and professional. As time went on he became less responsive and the quality of his work diminished greatly. His workers were slow and sloppy and the work was not completed. After receiving payment (big mistake) he refuses to return to complete unfinised work. Now that I am in the house I am noticing runs in the paint and incomplete work. I would not use this painter again under any circumstances.
Description of Work: Paint the inside and oustside of a major home renovation.

 + 0 moreOur painting adventure began in November 2009. Mike had just finished painting our neighbors home and after seeing what he had done, we asked him to give us an estimate of painting our home. It was not until July 16, 2010 that we decided to have our house painted. Mike came out on 7/17/10 and said he could begin the job on 7/19/10 at the same price. Since my wife and I both work in Baton Rouge, our neighbor was his contact in getting access to our home. Not once were we worried about having Mike and his brother in our house during the day. Each day we came home, he made sure we were able to function (having ability to use the kitchen and living area for the TV etc.). Mike was so accomadating and easy to work with. He made sure every piece of furniture was protected. In hoping you use Mike to paint your home, please leave the vacuum cleaner out so he can vacuum the dust and dirt that is behind the pieces of furniture you have not cleaned in years (like the bed etc.). Even as I write this review of Mike, he is helping with the painting needs for my next door neighbor in his bathroom and additonal painting for the neighbor who recommended him to paint our house. In summary, I would highly recommend Mike's Painting to anyone who is considering having their home painted. Mike has been in business for over 33 years. We still have the upstairs to paint and when the time comes, Mike will be the one to do this job. In additon to Residential Interior Painting, he does Commercial Exterior Painting.
Description of Work: Painted the whole interior of my home on the first floor, including the stair wall. This also included removing wallpaper in the dining room, kithchen and small bathroom. The trim throughout the first floor had to be sanded and repainted. Also, repainted six (6) interior doors. Where there was a need to remove dust and dirt, he vaccumed these areas.
