During construction was on site and helpful. After it was completed could not get him to come by or respond to phones calls. There are stains in the pool so I he;d back $600.00 to make sure that there were removed and they are still there today and he still is looking for his money. And when he does call back he has the nerve to have an attudied with me. I told him about the stains and now the foundation and pool has cracks in it and says I have problems with setting. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy!

We worked with the owner of the company, Gary Maestri. Once we were under contract and they took their initial down payment, we were told that where they drew the pool was not allowed by the city even though they confirmed before that it was. I asked if we needed a new contract because the pool was not where it needed to be in the contract. For it, they changed out removing a patio in exchange for having to do the electrical work. One week later, we were told we would have to pay to have the electrical work done at an additional $1,500. We ended up running the electrical ourselves. They told us the job would be four to six weeks from contract to completion. We were contracted in the end of April. On their schedule for who was responsible for items, the schedule did not start until excavation. The job ended up taking about ten weeks to complete. There was typically no more than four hours of work done each week. There would be a full crew working, but then we would not see them again for another week. The elevation of the pool is about six inches higher than our patio that is attached to our home. We discussed the concern with them before it was built and they told us they knew what we were doing. Now, every time it rains the water that hits the pool edge has nowhere to drain. They did install a drain, but it was installed an inch and a half higher than our patio and there has to be at least one inch of water for it to drain. He did not finish the concrete on the back of the pool. He also did not bury the ground wire that is about 37 feet and it is exposed on the backside of the pool. I do still owe him about $2,000 for the work, but I told him I would not pay the remaining balance until he found a solution for the concrete. He said he would be back with his concrete guy, but I have not heard from or seen him since July. There were multiple subcontractors. The owner was never on sight except for the excavation or if I called him with a complaint. He never came to see if any of the work completed by the subcontractors was done correctly. There was trash left all over our yard and we picked up over 50 pounds of concrete that was left on our lawn. We really like and have enjoyed the pool itself. However, based on all of the struggle after signing the contract, I wish I would have not gone with Marstri pools.
Description of Work: They installed a 35 foot by 17 foot in-ground swimming pool in our backyard.
