DA Exterminating Co

Didn't check all the termite stations last year (15% unchecked). Now we have termite damage in a shed since last inspection and they refuse to negotiate anything to defray the costs. Had the inspector checked those stations, maybe it would have been clear sooner that there were active termites around.

I signed a contract with DA to treat termites in the fall of 2011 when i found some in a dining room wall. They came out, treated, then trenched around my home. Little did i know they were using a knockoff chemical (not termidor) to treat the soil. I called them every 6 months. The gentleman that came out to treat the walls/etc, (i believe his name was corey, i still have his number) was awesome, professional. That is the best i can say about the company. I ended up having them come out plenty of times to retreat/spray in and outside areas. The problem is they only spray treated and used cheap chemicals. They never tried to find the source of the problem. I was left with lots of termite damage in multiple areas of my home and a few thousand in damages (i've been repairing a little at a time, the last project is going to cost me close to 3-5k to repair the bathroom walls, ceiling and shower damage). They never offered termidor, nor a baiting system. I cancelled my contract and went with Billiots pest control. They recommended the bait system and even baited by my two trees in my back yard, and found 3 active ares in the home even after DA sprayed the walls with foam and treated spray around the outside base of the house (multiple times) just days prior to me calling them. I have not had any issues since changing company's. I do remember I emailed them and asked for a log of each time i called to have them service my home, and asked about warranty damage/etc on 7/28/2014. No one got back to me, nor did they have any concerns as to why i cancelled my contract when i called them. In my email to them on 7/28/14 - "I had my termite guy over July 1 to treat newly found live termites. They were back again just 2 days after initial treatment, so he came again on the 3rd or 4th. A manager came out to take a look on July 14th. He treated with liquid around the home outside, he did look around inside but did not get in the attic or treat anything inside. I was advised that I would get a follow up visit in two weeks." - and i never heard from them, which is why i switched companies.

All is good until you have a question or problem. As a Northshore customer for about 25 years, from initial home construction, thru additions until OCT 2016 all was good. We had only one instance where a annual retreatment, where the tech was in and out and didn't apply a good soaking termite treatment. I called, they said would do better following year. Now this year time for major 7 year treatment. A salesman comes out, does inspection, and does not give contract estimate on site. Says he will send email. Nope several days go by, I have to call him and his office and ask for the contract details. I then get a short email, which states an almost 50% price increase in annual treatments and now this year they want to exclude some of the property coverage. Nothing has changed since last major treatment 7 years ago, could even be 14 years, not certain. So with an almost 50% price increase on annuals and a 25% increase on major treatment and now some structure not covered in warranty, I was concerned and it didn't seem they value their loyal customers! So I had questions and salesman said he would contact a manager, and I sent additional emails and called manager Mr Reynolds and asked for help, to discuss and a satisfactory resolution. NO RESPONSE, NO RETURN CALLS, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. So customers be informed, if you have any questions, concerns or problems, this is not a company you can depend on!!

They solved the problem very quickly. They not only did the inside of my house, but they did my perimeter also, on the outside. They went around the house. I have a slab house and they went around and did that too. There were no additional charges.

Prompt inspection appt. would have liked more interaction with inspector about past infestation signs & possible current issues as previous treatment was by same company 10 years ago after house purchase. Warranty lapsed for one year but treatment was due anyway. Treatment appt was prompt & courteous. He left without notice so have no idea if he saw anything currently suspicious. He should have seen signs of past infestation as, according to his company inspector at time of purchase, house had active termites before I purchased house ten years ago. Very limited pest control service providers jn this area. Past experience with this company was very good. Also have monthly service now with only one treatment so far. Ants are still issue.

I have used them before with not issue with service or scheduling. This time I had to call 4 times to get an appointment scheduled. They then sent me a bill for services. Not sure of the issue now but it was frustrating and wast of time.

Went well, the workers came out and did the treatment and it was fast and friendly service.

They did what was told to me they would do. I did get another bill this week 07/09/16 for $320 with no explanation. still waiting on a reply from the company. I had no extra services done although they did try to upsell.

I knew it would cost more because of my house so he came out and gave me an updated quote. After providing me with a quote, I requested that he give me a copy of the warranties which he ultimately never sent over after saying he would. He also did not return my call today. Not what I expected from an Angie's List company

went good - technician was polite and very thorough. He pointed out where the ants were coming in so we were able to have the problem areas sealed. We did have some ants come back before we were able to get the sealing done but they were very quick to send someone back out free of charge. The initial treatment is guaranteed for one month. We now have a quarterly contract with them - if there are any problems in between visits, they send someone out to re-treat as part of the contract.

Mosquito treatment was fine, seems effective but responsiveness in trying to get someone to come out for the second treatment was difficult.

DA was very responsive to my initial contact for services. As I remember, an appointment to do the spraying was made within a week of initial contact. The service rep. showed up on time and on the day scheduled, however he could only spray inside because of incliment weather. I paid him for the entire job with a promise from the DA provider that he would return in a few days when the weather improved in order to spray outside around the home. I didn't hear from the provider for two weeks after the inside spraying so I decided to contact him to remind him of the need to complete the outside job. He informed me that he had come two days after the initial in-door spraying to complete the outside portion of the contact. I, obviously, was not at home when he came back. He never gave me a call prior to his return on the date he planned to complete the job, nor did he leave a message at my house or call me after he had I completed the work. So overall, I would say the quality of intervention was excellent as evidenced by the insect carcasses, but we had a bit of a problem with communicating when the 2nd stage was completed.

I had a wonderful experience with DA. I bought a year-long package and just completed the last service. I had rodent and roach problems before, and no problems once I started using their service. Every three months the tech called to setup an appointment, He was frendly and always flexible as to time, which I appreciated because both of us work. Wonderful experience all around, I will continue using DA.

prompt response and Ashley who actually came to spray was in the area already and was willing to come right out! He was here within the hour of my initial contact and had the job complete in no time! I was surprised at such a fast response and will definitely use them in the very near future for mosquito spraying as I live by the water. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Everything went great, they arrived early and upon my arrival we went over the details of what i would be getting and the price. After drilling and spraying outside they measured and cut holes for inside treatments, installed covers and checked for active termites inside. They were very professional and completed the job in a timely manner
