I called Dan on a Saturday and told him I needed a home inspection done on Monday. He was able to move things around to meet my last minute needs. He arrived at the perspective house that Monday exactly on time. He was extremely professional and informative. Dan spent around 31/2 hrs examining the house and another 45 mins explaining his findings. It was amazing to me how thoro and knowledgeable he was. There was not an inch of the house inside or out that Dan didn't look at. He did not try to hide things or persuade me one way or the other on the house. He merely gave me the facts (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and let me go from there. As soon as the inspection was over, I received the report (via email) a few hours later. If I were to purchase another home he would be the only person in my whole home buying experience that I would use again. A month after moving into the home I started suspecting that there was a mold problem. I called up Dan and he came back out to preform a mold test. He tested each individual room and crawl space. He then took the samples and overnight them to the lab. When the results came back positive for mold, Dan guided me through the steps to get rid of it. It was nice to have someone that actually helps you from start to finish. Thanks to Dan I am mold free and in a lovely new home!

Dan was prompt and extremely through. He used all the lasted technology.

Dan has an awesome mixture of extreme attention to detail and customer service. He was very personable AND professional. As he inspected the house, he also gave me some valuable tips like used furniture restoration, which alarm system to go with, how to deal with pest treatment, insurance companies, etc. As a first time home buyer, this is EXTREMELY useful! Altogether, Dan P. is the absolute bomb!

I hired Dan to inspect the Stucco and perform a Mold Test on my house after Hurricane Isaac. I had concern after water lapped on my porch against my stucco and seeped in the weep holes and the doorways. I was very pleased with the services that he provided. He was professional and prompt. I would definitely refer him to friends and family.

Dan showed up right on time with a friendly and professional manner. My husband and I were immediately put at ease. He did a great job and when asked why he was recommending a specific contractor to bid on our house repairs, his reply was honest and sincere. We knew there was going to be quite a bit of work done and we needed someone to give it to us straight. He takes all forms of payment which is nice because when you are buying a home, its annoying to have people make you pay them in cash for things. He sat and talked to us for a half hour after the inspection and really went through everything. I would recommend him to anyone buying a house or just wanting an inspection.

The inspector was on time, was very informative, and used the latest technology. He did an infrared scan of the inside of my house that showed several hot spots where insulation is missing. Also, a video plumbing inspection was done, which checked the condition of the pipes under my slab. In addition, a termite inspection was done, and a certificate was issued. His report was extremely thorough and easy to comprehend. I would highly recommend All American Home Inspection.

My house that is a little over 3 years old has a bad mold problem that has progressed very rapidly. After going back and forth with the builder of my home about this issue....and him sending his guys over to "fix" the mold issues 3 separate times....I decided to call someone else that could actually assist me with the mold in my house!I I found Dan with All American Home Inspections at an Expo in Lakeside Mall. Spoke to him for a few minutes about the issue I was having in my home, got his business card....Gave him a call on Monday and he was here on Thursday on time at 10:00am! (he was available earlier in the week but my schedule didn't permit). I would definitely recommend All American Home Inspections. Dan explained in detail what was causing the mold in my home and what needed to be done to fix it! If you are looking for an HONEST company that is reasonably priced and knows what they are doing, Call Dan at AAHI. I will always use him for home inspections in the future.

Again it went better than expected!

I was quite please with the professional work and the thoroughness of his inspection at my condo. I got a very detailed report, including pictures, and mold test. He used a infra-red imaging camera to find a leak that I thought was coming from the condo above, but it was actually coming from my toilet. Highly recommended! Very professional!

DAN WAS VERY DETAILED AND POINTED OUT THE GOOD AS WELL AS THE BAD. HE ALSO HAD SOLUTIONS AND ADVICE FOR FIXES FOR ANYTHING THAT SHOWED AS A NEGATIVE. I WILL DEFINETLY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I am thrilled with the services I recieved from this company and Dan! His inspection made me aware of many "flaws" in the home I am interested in purchasing. HIs inspection has giving me the information I needed to make this investment decision.His follow up phone call sealed the deal for me. Both realitors were at the inspection and were trying to down play several of the houses problem areas. He called to let me know his honest opinion of the house. I am very greatful for that considering the house has a pretty big flaw that both realitors would like me to overlook. Dans inspection has giving me the chance to have the property inspected by my contractor to determine the true cost of the repairs. This will be the deciding factor for purchasing the house.Dan is also coming back out to meet with my contractor to personally show him what needs to be done to the house. 100% THRILLED that I used All American Home Inspections!!!!!!!!

I chose Dan Paradela (All American Home Inspections, LLC) out of three home inspectors that were suggested by my real estate agent when I was looking to purchase a home in Mandeville, LA. One of the main reasons that I chose Dan was because he claimed to inspect the roof as part of his services while others did not. The roof was new since Katrina, so I wanted to make sure that it was done right. I contracted with Dan, and he completed the inspection and provided me with the report. At the time, I was relatively satisfied with the quality of the work although he was not nearly as thorough as the inspector that had recently inspected the home that I was selling in another state. I moved forward with the purchase of the home based on the condition of the property outlined in Dan's report. There was only one minor problem on the roof that he advised me to have repaired. After living in the house for a few months, we discovered many insignificant to relatively significant faults throughout the home that were missed by Dan. However, after only 6 months living in the home, I had a roof leak which sent water into my master bedroom. After hiring a roofer to inspect the roof, it was determined that there was a major deficiency in the workmanship of the roof that was causing the leak. After expecting this to be an isolated incident, I paid to have the leaking area replaced. Less than 2 years later, I had water leak through the roof and into another area of my home causing inside damage. I got into the attic, and the roof was leaking in 4 different places. I had 4 different roofers come and inspect the roof, and all of them again found major deficiencies in the workmanship and quality. Two of the roofers said that this was the worst roofing job they had ever seen. One of Dan's responses to my concerns about the roofers' feedback was as follows: "If you call 10 roofing companies and ask them to evaluate a fairly new roof half of them will find problems and the other half won't." I asked Dan what he thought about 5 out of 5 (100%) finding major, obvious problems, but he had no response to that. At this point, I have no other choice but to have the entire roof replaced. Now that I am faced with a full, out-of-pocket roof replacement, Dan refuses to respond to my emails. I lose sleep every time that it rains because I have to get in the attic and move buckets around. The job is so poor that it leaks in different places every storm. I want to include a few quotes from the company's website which describe the work that should have been but was instead a complete let-down. --"An inspector will check the roof, basement, heating system, water heater, air-conditioning system, structure, plumbing, electrical, and many other aspects of buildings looking for improper building practices, those items that require extensive repairs, items that are general maintenance issues, as well as fire, safety, and health hazards. Think of a home inspector as a detective searching throughout the house for clues that lead to a conclusion of the home's overall condition."--"When you hire a home inspector, you are hiring an experienced professional who has training and experience in the building industry. It is the job of the home inspector to not only evaluate the condition of the house's major systems and structural integrity, but also to evaluate how these systems are working together and identify areas that need to be watched, repaired or replaced."--"Many people would prefer not to inspect their roofs themselves. Roofs can be pitched at very steep angles and pose quite a challenge to those leery of heights. Inspecting the roof from an attic or crawlspace full of spiders and other creepy inhabitants may not be too attractive either. Another issue is most people are unsure of what to look for. Leaks can be hard to track water travels downward and the damage can be far from the actual leak. Because of this, hiring an expert to inspect the roof for you is something you should consider. We offer full service, unbiased roof inspections and will provide you with a detailed report of our findings complete with recommended maintenance and repair suggestions. Please contact us for quotes." Here is a sample of Dan's email response to my concerns: "...the type of inspection we perform is visual only it is not a technically exhaustive inspection. Two years ago when I inspected your roof if appeared to be in acceptable condition." Based on the above communication, does this response sound like someone that is qualified to inspect and make a judgement on the condition of an obviously deficient roof? Devise your own opinion on that. The bottom line is that if you want a home inspector that you can trust to provide this critical service which will affect the biggest purchasing decision and investment most people make in their lives, do not use Dan Paradela @ All American Home Inspections, LLC. You will likely regret it greatly.
