Description of Work: Solis Builders did a major remodel at our house. Pretty much the whole interior was renovated, plus exterior work and paint. About 90 percent of the house was gutted; ducts, plumbing and wiring updated or replaced. Two bathrooms completely remodeled and one new bathroom installed, plus a complete kitchen remodel. Wood floor and tile was installed, plus wood floors refinished. Custom cabinetry built and installed. Carpenter ant damage and water damage required several windows and large window units to be replaced. A cantileverd portion of roof was sagging, so exterior posts were installed to support the roof and for the porch to improve the look. The exterior paint was removed properly and the exterior painted. A major goal of the renovation was to make the house energy efficient and 'green'. A blower door test was done before renovation to determine the air leakage rate. Blown insulation in the attic and under the house attempted to provide a barrier to keep heated or cooled air inside the envelope of the home. The blower door post-test showed that the insulation worked as planned, and the house is now very energy efficient. We recieved bids for the work, and while Solis Builder's was not the cheapest, it was a good price and the work came in on price, with the exception of unknown things that had to be repaired, like carpenter ant damage that was discovered.
