We use SuddenLink for our internet and cable. We discontinued our cable services because we don't watch tv. They came out and disconnected our cable and Internet. When we called to have it fixed it took them several days to come out. They were rude on the phone too and acted like it was all our fault and not theirs.

I love the TIVO service. The internet is not as fast as I would like but I do not want to pay more. The landline is just that. It does not have the caller ID on the phone but does show it on the TV. My computer service could be faster.
Description of Work: I used Suddenlink Communications for cable and internet and phone. I have a recording service to record shows also.

My husband initially called asking for a discount due to the drop of Viacom networks, but they refused, claiming the networks they picked up were comparable replacements, not! I say not because we ended up with things like a baby network. Please do not misunderstand, these would be great networks to have as additional networks, but not to swap for Viacom networks. These netwoks are not remotely comparable and to say otherwise is being in a state of denial. There is no amount of surgar coating or excuses to change that reality. All this led us to looking over our billing statement. We pay a total monthly charge of $158.57, including taxes, fees, etc. For the bundle, we have SL200 for TV, Internet 30.0, and phone service and are being charged $135.50 for the package, before taxes, fees, etc. We have paid that rate ever since moving into our house back in 2013 and starting service with Suddenlink. My husband priced the bundle online and it is going for $93. He called asking for a cost reduction and was refused. He was told that the online price was an intoductory price and that it would go up an extra $20 per month after the first yesr (duh, that is still less!). He pointed out that it does not indicate anything about be an introductory price on their website, but the rep. stuck with her story. He told me the rep. had snobbishly remarked that he could downgrade our service. Later that day, he called back, and spoke to rep. Britney, in the new costumer section and she told him that it was not an introductory amount, but the regular monthly rate. Hm? After all this, the hubbly went online to send off an email via Suddenlink website, explaining this event and asking for a $42 price reduction. That occurrd on Oct 5, Sunday, and it is now 1:04 am Tuesday, 7 Oct, and we still have not received a reply. I take that as being very highly probable that we are not getting the price reduction. Update: we never received a price reduction as requested and dropped SL TV cable service. The irony is that after dropping the service and going with another provider, we would finally be offered a discount, but it was a little to little to late. We would also receive a survey afterward as well, but still, how ironic to seem to have any concern for customer service/satisfaction after dropped service. I think they need a new business model. On the plus side, we still carry SL internet service as nothing in the area, DSL, etc. can come close to offering the speed and bandwidth SL provides. kudos where due. Oh and phone service, without any complaints.
Description of Work: First, refused any cost reductions for dropping Viacom networks. Second, refused any cost reductions for excessive rates compared to current new customer monthly rates.

I have phone and internet thorough them, but I was having issues with random numbers calling my phone. I was told that bit would cost an additional $6 to put my number on a do not call list. Then I had a tech come out to upgrade my internet, and was given a morning time window between 8 and noon, the tech did not arrive until 6 that eve. I understand things happen, but updates would be nice!

I have ongoing monthly internet and telephone service with Suddenlink. The phone service is flawless and well-priced. The internet service is very reliable, typically even in bad weather. The service dept is where Suddenlink shines. Ever since I had satellite installed, I've had router issue - kept dumping me offline randomly. I tried everything the satellite company recommended repeatedly to no avail. Finally, in desperation, I called Suddenlink even though it was definitely an install issue related to the satellite, the Suddenlink service tech walked me through an intricate re-install. Works perfectly now! No charge for the tech call, and while I think the monthly fee is a little painful, the techs soothe the ache. Excellent customer service!
Description of Work: Troubleshot an internet connection issue.
