 + -1 moreWhen it came to getting them to do the caulking around the windows, I had to keep constantly calling them. They made one lame excuse after the other as to why they couldn't show up. Finally on 7/6/2011, they returned to paint the post and do the caulking ,. They did one window instead of the 9 we contracted for. And the one they did was the sloppiest caulking job I have ever seen. To begin with, they never removed the old caulk. They caulked right over the old stuff. And they used white caulk instead of clear. In addition, they did not do the complete window. . They only caulked around the sides and the top and not the bottom. After doing one window, they bugged out. I called Carter several times but he didn't answer his phone nor return my calls. Home Works is a sorry outfit trying to operate on a shoestring and taking advantage of people. They are not licensed and have been fined by the State for doing work without the proper registration. They did such a miserable job on the caulking that maybe I am fortunate that they only messed up one window. Everyone should be warned about them.
Description of Work: On May 18, 2011, I hired this bunch to do 4 simple tasks. Fix my attic steps, install a new back entryway post, fix a fence door and caulk around 9 Garden Room windows The first 3 tasks were completed Ok the next day although the entryway post needed to be painted. This was not done until 7/6/2011. And no caulking was done at the time the first 3 tasks were done. They said they would return the following day to paint the post and do the caulking. But they wanted to be paid the full job, the whole $550. I foolishly paid them in full. Bad mistake.
