Each January Ashley's calls to determine if I want my mower serviced and we set a date to pick it up. They called before picking it up and arrived at about the time they said they would. Pickup and delivery of the mower was done at a charge of $10. The mower was serviced and delivered to my house in a few days. My mower actually had problems because it wouldn't start. The total price including parts, service, pickup and delivery was $98.10 which I thought was well worth the cost. The person who did the pickup and delivery was very courteous and professional.

Great - very nice, good people - owners and subs. Honest, professional, absolutely no problems.

Lisa and Adam are a GREAT team! From the start, they explained in detail how the process would go. This remodel was a total renovation from the previous 50+ year old t-shaped kitchen that once was. I had an idea of what I wanted, but Lisa's eye for design and Adams know how and perfectionism brought it all to life and then some. Trades were brought in and a detailed estimate was given. Lisa worked very closely with us to make sure everything we wanted was addressed, while Adam worked diligently to make sure that all aspects of the job were up to code. They were both very professional and VERY detailed. Adam and Lisa won't stop until it's done right!

From the initial phone call with Ashley's, to the completion of the project, everything was done in a very professional manner. The owners, Lisa and Adam Willard, were an absolute joy to work with. Lisa brought my ideas for my kitchen to life with her design. Adam was a "right the first time" contractor. Project manager, Aaron Willard, was amazing during demo week. That first week of demo can be stressful, but the whole crew kept the mood light and made sure the rest of my house was not impacted by the kitchen demo. The Willard's went out of their way to involve our six-year-old son in the process. He loved each of them by the time the project was over. All subcontractors used on the renovation were professional and punctual. We were always kept abreast of what the next step would be and when it would be completed. The very few issues that came up, which is to be expected in older homes, were quickly resolved to our complete satisfaction. If a change needed to be made, we were always presented with more than one option. In the end, we were blown away by our new kitchen and feel has though we made some friends in the process.

Exactly as they outlined. Extremely nice, including all subs. Very professional results. Began exactly on the date quoted and finished timely, with someone working on the area all weekdays. Excellent communication with owner and his wife, as well as owner's brother who works side by side with them. Very neat. Put protective paper on the floors, cleaned up after themselves. Parking is a problem in the area in which I live, and they were very cooperative in making sure the street was not obstructed as best they could. My work began the day the horrible flooding occurred in Shreveport / Bossier. While I was fortunate, the owner's house was flooding. I told him to go home and take care of things, and he said he'd already done what he could, and he couldn't stop the flooding. He kept on working on my project, even though he said when he was finished for the day here, he and his wife and kids worked late at night cleaning up their house all through my project. So they were under extreme personal stress due to their flooding and being displaced, but remained pleasant and professional with us. Very hard working group. Adam strives for perfection and it's obvious his reputation is important to him. Really decent, nice people.

Perhaps I should not provide comments, because the work was not done. However, I was impressed with the way the owner handled the manner and he provided helpful information for my next steps. We simply communicated by email and telephone.

It was a big job and I did enjoy the relationship.

Near the successful completion of a bath remodeling project by Ashley's, massive termite damage was discovered in another area of my house. Because of the flawless remodel, Ashley's was engaged to also perform the necessary repair of the entire affected corner of the building. Once the extent of destruction was determined, Adam Willard developed the detailed plan of action, which was executed very efficiently. Demolition and rebuild were accomplished concurrently to the extent it was possible. Not only was the apparent termite problem addressed, but original construction deficiencies that were contributing factors were corrected by redesigning some aspects of the structure. Throughout the process, Adam and Lisa Willard visited the work site on a daily basis and kept me informed of the progress, including target dates for completion of each step. As they did during the remodeling project, they made every effort to minimize the effect on the other parts of the house, and my own inconvenience. Performance of each and every subcontractor was outstanding, and this major project was completed on schedule and at the agreed upon cost. The final product was superior to the original construction by a significant margin. Under the circumstances, I cannot imagine better people to work with than this remarkable couple and their company. I highly, enthusiastically recommend Ashley's for any construction job.

Fabulous from start to finish. Even prior to entering into a contract, Adam and Lisa spent countless hours listening to us, asking clarifying questions and offering the unsolicited good ideas to help us understand the vision we were formulating for this once in a lifetime remodel for our prime living space, the kitchen and living room. We were never rushed or pressed. They quickly demonstrated that they wanted to be part of our team and establish a long term relationship with shared value. In short, they wanted what we wanted. The contract was unambiguous and detailed every cost and a timeline for completion. It was clear that the they had developed long, trusting working relationships with their tradesmen. Electricians, plumbers, woodcrafters were all of top quality. The work schedule was well coordinated with very little down time on the kitchen and it was finished well ahead of schedule. The scheduling for the LR was a little looser but still acceptable. Other than our anxiousness to be in our new space, it never created a significant hardship. Importantly, they shared and understood our concerns and were advocates throughout the process. Their level of constant and caring communication was off the charts. My wife, Ellen, and I are working professionals and we had little time to oversee the project (nor would we know what we were overseeing) so we needed Adam and Lisa to represent our interested as if it were their own. They did. The quality and quantity of communication (text, email, phone calls, on site visits) were the best. Any potential stress point (the color of this, the design of that, etc.) was addressed and communicated quickly and with a high level of expertise. We needed expert advice as well as flawless execution and we got it from Ashley's. In summary, these guys know what they're doing and pack the gear to get it. The price was fair and represented fair value. Our short list for future projects is down to one -- Ashley's.

Ashley's proprietors, Adam and Lisa Willard, arrived early for our initial appointment. They presented their impressive credentials in a manner that was at once businesslike and friendly. Adam's assessment of my separate proposed projects was that they could only be accomplished as a complete package, and he explained how each affected other aspects of the overall room. I was convinced this was the best way for me to arrive at the desired result. After adjusting Ashley's original proposal to arrive at a workable compromise between the cost of the project and my budget, the selection of colors and materials proceeded with Lisa Willard, who instantly understood my limitations as a widower in that arena. Lisa provided photographs and samples with a wide enough selection to give me flexibility without an overwhelming list of choices. When I felt a sample was close, but not quite what I was looking for, Lisa promptly went out and found the missing link. With her considerable help, the appearance and functionality of the final product were completely satisfactory. Once the materials were acquired or fabricated, the production went smoothly. The fact that Willard's spent time nearly every day at the work site, ensuring the smooth flow and quality of work. The sub-contractors all appeared to be committed to Adam's extremely high professional standards. Throughout the process, work was scheduled and configured in such a way that my inconvenience was minimized. I consider this important because any construction project can be stressful. The project was completed on schedule and at the original agreed upon cost, except for changes initiated by me. I found Adam and Lisa Willard outstanding young with whom to work. They operate a quality, family oriented business with consistently high levels of honesty and integrity. Actually, I came to regard them as friends. I would highly recommend Ashley's for any building/ construction job at any level with complete confidence of successful and satisfactory completion.

In what could have been a VERY stressful experience, I would have to say we had a wonderful relationship that grew as we worked together to see this job through. A few things we appreciated: 1-Ashley's was ALWAYS on time or, if something came up beyond their control, they called me immediately, 2-Adam cleaned up completely every day, 3-At the end of every day they would brief us on the work performed and what would be done the next day, 4-Punctual, courteous, pleasant and cheerful, we enjoyed having them in the house! We'd highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!

The project went well and progressed in a timely manner. Adam Willard- the owner, was very responsive to questions and listened to what we wanted and worked to accommodate our design ideas and plans. Adam made suggestions for cabinetry that is a great addition to the home that really fits in with the log house theme.We have some custom elements that Adam was able to make suggestions for updating that have truly made the home unique. There were some uh oh's during the course of the project related to construction issues discovered during the demo phase (electrical and plumbing that was not up to code, etc.) those problems did increase the costs, but were a necessary part of the project. We also went significantly over the original quote due to plan changes mid-project. The changes were at our request and we were well aware of what the changes would do to the budget. We are very happy with the results and have the warm and cozy log cabin we wanted. We did run into a few scheduling challenges during the project due to some severe weather in the area that tied up some of the subcontractors and delayed their being able to work on our project. Once the contractors became available things progressed as expected.

Ashley's Building and Construction (Adam and Lisa) made what normally is considered a huge headache into a very smooth easy process. My master bathroom was a complete gut and remodel with a redesign from Ashley's. I gave them a few ideas of what I wanted in my new bathroom and they took it from there with a beautiful design. It wasn't until we had the design down and everything picked out (tile, plumbing fixtures, etc) that Adam gave me my estimate which is how a "custom" job should be done. I liked knowing up front what the cost would be without my contractor asking me in the middle of my project for more money because I picked out something that was considered custom instead of standard builders grade. Adam was great about communicating with me and would stop by on a weekly basis (sometimes daily) to check on the project to make sure everything was being done to his standard. Along with the bathroom remodel, I also had my front door replaced and the entire exterior of my home painted. I would highly recommend Ashely's Building and Construction and will definitely use them again for future projects.

Tree limb removal from roof that had penetrated into the interior of the house, floor removal from water damage and repaired roof all within 3 hours of initial damage to minimize any further damage caused by the rain. All went very smoothly and with great communication with Mr. Willard. I found him to be very accessible anytime I had questions. He was extremely professional and courteous; which was important given my wife was home when the work was being performed.

I decided to go with another contractor. I had no complaints about them. They were prompt and very professional when they came out to give me a quote. I may consider using them in the future

Our bathroom renovation was only one of a myriad of remodeling mini-projects that our 57 year old home required before we could put it on the market for sale. In the end, I opted to choose another vendor who provided a nice quality bathroom at a slightly lower price. If our house did not need so many other repairs, I felt very comfortable doing business with Ashley's and feel like they would have done an outstanding job. Adam is very attentive to detail, but I simply needed to save a few dollars for other projects that were required for my house. I would highly recommend that you talk with Adam before making your decision!

I loved the fact that everything was in writing. They did what they said they were going to do. They were prompt and clean. All the debris was removed. They did extensive services and I am planning on having some more work done with them. The price was wonderful. There were not even any minor problems. They were wonderful.

I contacted Ashley's Building for a quote on remodeling my only bathroom in the house (built in 1955). Adam came over the next day and inspected the room to determine what would be required for the remodel. He asked me and my wife to visit the vendors and pick out a tub, fixtures, and marble; which we did within the next couple of days as our schedules permitted. Based on the materials we chose, Adam was able to provide a bid quickly and we accepted. Adam and the sub-contractors were professional in every way and worked quickly given the situation we were in - not having another tub/shower in the house. Adam stayed involved in every step of the process and the job was completed in about a week despite a few setbacks given the age of the house (and how many remodels don't have some sort of setback?) If it wasn't for Adam and his experience and professionalism, I truly don't feel the job would have been completed as quickly, especially with a less experienced or engaged contractor. Remember that a good contractor is one that KNOWS what they are doing and RESPECTS the homeowner. I never felt like I needed to oversee the work being done as Adam came highly recommended and he appeared to treat the job as if it were for his own house. Adam is very particular about the work he does (and his subs) and will not accept anything less than perfect. My wife and I are extremely pleased with, not only the final product, but the process from beginning to end. I look forward to having Adam and his crew back out to the house for my next project. If you want a job done and done right Adam and Ashley's Building is what you want. Remodeling a kitchen is a common occurence, so what makes Ashley's stand taller than others? With a house over 110 years old we have come to expect the unexpected and HAD to have someone we trusted to do the job right. From floors that were 3 1/2 inches lower at the walls than the middle ofthe room, to not being able to match trim on existing cabinets, to a hidden wall complication, to floor joists and footings that would not support adequate weight, Adam's industry knowledge and construction solution experience proved a stoke of genius. Adam handles it well with patience and confidence, communicated exceptionally well, and handled everything with patience and confidence. FOR EVERY CHALLENGE HE FOUND A SOLUTION. Every person and sub he sent to the job were the epitome of professional competency and customer communication. The vendors he recommended for appliances were attentive and helpful. He picks great suppliers and subs and expects them to provide excellent, warm, responsive service and work. We got a fantastic job that looks great and was DONE RIGHT on a complicated project where the trustworthiness and competency of the builder was critical. Adam takes responsibility for the entire project and insists that all subs work to his standards. Our job will last because it was done correctly. So, we got a fantastic job that exceeded expectations, done by a totally trustworthy contractor who sets high standards and leads by example with his competency, creativity, problem solving ability and project management skills. They started the project immediately, but it's not where I wanted it to be so I talked to the owner and he was so nice and very accommodating. So they started over and got the fence finished. His pricing is a bit high but he uses environmental-friendly materials and he hires excellent-skilled workers so I don't mind that his price is a bit high. I am very impressed with his dedication and commitment in finishing the project and it is a pleasure to work with him.

After three years of marriage, my wife and I were at the point in our lives where we were ready to build a house and expand our family. We had several friends build houses and some of them told us horror stories about the contractor they used and the building process in general. They told us "it just about cost them their marriage" or "they just about went broke because of cost overruns." At this point, our main goal was to find a contractor that we could trust and hope we could avoid some of the bad experiences our friends had told us about. After meeting with several contractors and reviewing the quality of some of their work we decided upon Adam Willard with Ashley's Building. Adam was our general contractor for the entire build and we could not have been any happier. Through the entire process we always felt that Adam was being honest and up front with us about what was happening as far as the time schedule, cost, and any problems that arose during the build. Adam treated our project as if he was building the house for himself. My wife and I can not say enough about Adam's honesty and integrity.
