Two Men and a Truck

There seemed to be no order to how they packed the truck. I've moved with professional movers 4 times in the last 5 years so I've seen exceptional packing and this was as far from it as you can get. I had the driver actually tell me that he was going to have to leave my things behind because there wasn't room on the truck - the same truck size that moved my exact same items 8 months earlier (and had extra space at the back end). I pushed back and said we weren't leaving my things behind and the driver then seemed bothered and began haphazardly throwing my additional items in the truck. Of course a number of things unnecessarily got broken even after I requested that they be treated with extra care. At my new home, the unloading of unique/heavy items was embarrassing for a moving company. Since replacing the broken items, I have had to repeatedly contact the Baton Rouge office to try to get reimbursed for the damages despite that I also bought extra insurance through them for the move. This office is not doing any favors for the Two Men and a Truck brand, with which I have had previously positive experiences moving with their Birmingham office. What a complete failure. I cannot recommend this company. Moving is already stressful enough without having to add all of this extra hassle. Do yourself and favor and pack your valuables yourself and use another company to move your things.

Tons of damage. Main issue was the moving guys didn't really seem interested in loading up my items. The kept ignoring my stuff and only seemed interested in moving furniture. They ignored boxed and bagged items, appliances, etc. They kept closing the truck door stating they were done when over half of my contents were still in the house. They packed so loose and lackluster they ended up having to make 2 trips. Every piece of wood furniture had scratches, as did my 55" 4k Samsung TV. The moving guys did a decent amount of damage to floors and walls too. I kept telling them over and over, the only items being left behind were a fridge and oven, yet they literally ignored anything that wasn't furniture. I ended up having to bribe the workers to complete the move. Then I found all of the damage done. Total cost of move was $770. Total cost of bribe was $100. Total damage done $12.2k -damaged furniture $7.8k -damaged electronics $1.2k -damaged floors and walls $3.2k Total paid by two men and a truck to cover repairs: $465.00

The was only one problems with an item that was to have been dropped at the first stop and it ended up at the 3rd stop. I can't fault them for it because I should have been watching when they loaded it as well as when then unloaded at the second location but my sister kept wanting to show me stuff. It was a challenging move which they were more than willing to take on and if only one item was out of place then we beat the odds. The guys were great. We had everything pulled apart for them which made the move go fast. 3 stops took the amount of what was quoted for 2 stops so we were more than delighted with the outcome. Great company! Will use again.

It went well. They were hardworking, stopped the clock for lunch, and only one item was damaged which they repaired promptly. They were very pleasant to work with. They were happy to discuss how to move a difficult items to my satisfaction.

4 MEN CREW WORKED 12 HOURS TO PACK AND MOVE MY HOME THESE GUYS, WITH JUST A COUPLE OF GLITCHES, DID A FANTASTIC JOB. WILL CALL THEM AGAIN WHEN MY HOUSE IS BUILT AND HAVE TO MOVE AGAIN IN A YEAR.

We had packed our own boxes so they moved our boxes and furniture. At the new home, they placed our furniture where we wanted it and set up our beds. This was easiest and fastest move we ever had.

the guys showed up a little late but once they arrived worked very hard. they knew what they were doing and were careful with our stuff. they were polite.

Perfectly. The movers were extremely prompt and professional. I was very impressed with the fact that they moved the piano through another part of the house to protect my newly installed wood floors. I certainly appreciated their concern and attention to detail.

First the people in the office were always able to answer all my questions and were very nice. The men who moved my furniture and many, numerous boxes were on time and very knowledgeable. They worked non-stop and were very easy to deal with. I will be moving again in a few months taking my belongings out of storage to hopefully a new home and will be using Two Men and Truck once again.

Customer service leading up to the move was great. However, the move was not great. The "2 men" were young college-aged guys and seemed fairly inexperienced. Many of the boxes were banged up and they basically disregarded our "fragile" stickers. Fortunately, we have not found any damaged contents inside of the boxes yet - but we haven't unpacked any of the fragile boxes. They did not use firniture pads appropriately and they were not careful when moving items through doorways, as a result there were many scratches and dents to our wood furniture and door frames for both the house we moved out of and our new house. We called and complained. The manager came to our home to assess the damage and was very apologetic. They tried to repair the damage, but short of replacing the furniture, there was really not much that could be done - furniture markers basically.

When I set the appt I specifically asked for experienced MEN not boys. I did not want college kids. said they would show up at 9am. didnt get there until 3pm. only after repeated calls asking where they were. when they showed up, it was 2 skinny 21 yr olds college kids with 6 months exp. they had a hard time going up and down stairs to an apt on the 3rd flr. did not know how to pack a 55in Plasma TV, 6 mo old. they carried flat. which ruins a plasma tv. they refused any compensasion for replacement. extermly rude.

From the first phone call to the company to the final move was a good experience. Everyone was very professional, courteous, gave great advice and the moving team handled our furniture as if it were their own and always had a smile. We were very pleased with the way things turned out and would highly recommend them to others.

Truck arrived exactly on time. This move took aprox. 5 hours and although no packing it was labor intensive. The workers never complained and were quite pleasant to be around. Not one piece of my furniture or belongings were damaged or broken (or misplaced). Everything was placed exactly where I requested. I HIGHLY recommend using this moving company.

Overall, we had an average experience and used them because of our good experience with another franchise of Two Men and a Truck in another state. I think they underestimated how much stuff we had and they based their number of men and supplies sent out on number of bedrooms instead of coming out and doing a thorough estimate like other movers have done in the past.

We are very happy with the experience we had with Two Men and a Truck. The movers showed up on time, and quickly got to work. Since we were paying by the hour I expected them to take their time. That was not the case at all! The two men were very professional, very courteous, and worked swiftly to disassemble all our furniture. The furniture was wrapped in protective blankets and plastic wrap. They showed great care to make sure our pieces were not damaged in any way. They needed very little instruction. We had extra items in a storage unit and they did not mind stopping to pick those up as well. I only saw them take 2 breaks - one of which was a lunch break we insisted that they take. They worked really hard! When we arrived at the new house, the furniture was moved in quickly and carefully. They did not mind when I asked them to move a few items to different rooms, or to adjust the position of the furniture. All furniture was reassembled securely and professionally. The move took less time than we thought it would and the end result was that we came in well under what we budgeted to spend. We would not hesitate to use Two Men and a Truck in the future!

I called a couple of other local companies and Two Men and a Truck was by far the easiest to deal with. They were responsive, and accurate in their pricing (which was also the lowest by a few bucks compared their competitors). They also had helpful moving information they shared in emails that we actually used. The movers that day were professional and efficient. Most important, none of our items were damaged during the move.

They have great customer service, and they did a great job.
