Bad communication, showed up late, left mud all over the driveway, made ruts in the yard in an area where they were not even working and ran over and destroyed a 25 year old giant holly bush on the way out. 👎 Never again

I live in Pollard Estates and had a large water oak in my front yard. I hired Ricky Vincent to trim the tree. He did the work when I was at work. When I can home there was not a leaf left on the tree only the large branches. When I questioned Mt. Vincent he said that is how he trims trees. I paid him $1,500 to kill a tree. Nine months later I had to have the tree removed because it died. Cost me another $800.. I call Mr. Vincent about the matter and was told that I was not his problem. So if you need someone to kill a tree Mr. Vincent is your man.

Had a 50 foot oak with a 3 foot diameter trunk close to the house. Ricky has a truck with a large boom that made the job go smoothly. His crew knew what they were doing and had it down in about 4 hours. They cut it up in small enough pieces that I could move it around and burn it. No damage to roof, house, or plants.

Description of Work: Mr Vincent initially quoted $450 for services requested. However, he called a few days later stating that his crew finished early and offered to do the job for $350. I accepted. However, when I got home, I found the job lacking and had to "hen peck" the men to complete the work (as Mr. Vincent was not available via his cell). The men on the job complained stating they were underpaid as they contracted under Mr. Vincent rather than acknowledge that they had not completed all the work that had been discussed. Suffice it to say, the job was sub par.

Ricky was very responsive, and showed up on time for our arranged appointment. He was friendly and courteous. We discussed the tree at my rental property that needed to come down. My neighbor had offered to pay half of the cost, as she was tired falling limbs in her yard. The tree was probably about 60', and did show signs of being sickly. We agreed on a price. I liked Ricky's obvious knowledge, and asked him to quote on trimming trees at our personal property. Again the quote was reasonable. We set up a day and time for the work to begin at the rental property. To begin with, the crew was delayed and did not come out until two days after the scheduled day. I was still fine with this, as I was contacted prior. The problem began when we discovered the crew cutting down the tree (found this out during the cutting process) was a completely separate company. Mr. Vincent apparently does sales work for them. At NO time during our previous discussions had he mentioned this. The owner of this other company (which I had never heard of) had a very brusque manner. Though this man was a hard worker himself, his crew was not reliable. The tree was taken out, but it took much longer than planned. They did a fair job cleaning up. They did not show up when projected for the trimming at the other house as well though. We had some disagreement over the initially quoted work, which is understandable because Ricky Vincent was the original person quoting, not this other company! In the end they did some of the work in trimming, but could not get to one tree in need of it because they did not have a bucket truck with a long enough arm. The pecan tree they trimmed looked lopsided after they finished. They did do a good job on trimming a water oak , and they did again clean up. During this process I called Ricky to express my displeasure regarding the switch-a-roo. He acted confused about it, and I still did not get a clear answer on why Ricky agreed to do the work yet another company came in and handled. He even asked me to make the check out to this other company. I would not recommend using him, which is a shame because he is a clearly knowledgeable man.

Mr. Vincent came by my house after completing a job across the street. He pointed out some problems, quoted what seemed to be a fair price, and the work was completed in a very timely manner. His crew was very courteous, professional, and hard working. He also cut back a bush for me at no extra cost!

Would be the last person I would use for tree service. Ricky Vincent hired someone that morning to work on the trees in our yard. He had know idea if he was qualified or not and wouldn't you know it he cut a limb that hit our neighbors house. Ricky then wanted to be paid once he was finished but I was not going to do that until I knew the neighbors house would be taken care of. He proceeded to tell my wife that he needed the money or his people would not get paid - Not the customers responsibilty to pay your workers!!! He did this at the end of the day when his workers were waiting around our house to get there money from him - using intimidation to get his money and scaring my wife to death. We ended up giving him some of the money but a couple of days later I get one of his workers come to my house trying to get money because Ricky would not pay them until I gave him the rest of the money!!! Needless to say I was furious and would recommend any and all people to stay away from this unprofessional businessman.

On Friday they were supposed to show about noon, but they did not arrive until after 2pm. After 2 hours of work, Mr. Vincent came and took the crew of 2 away because of some trouble at another site. He said they would return Monday to complete the job. But they did not return on Monday and the Parish hauled off the debris from Friday. He charged me $200 for about $150 worth of the $700 worth of work they were supposed to do. I gave him the $200 just to get rid of him! What a mistake.
Description of Work: Estimate was to prune 4 oaks and cut. the dead limbs out and raise the Canopy on each tree. And haul off all the debris.

I have used Ricky Vincent in the past to trim trees and in one case to take down a tree. This time we needed him to come on an emergency basis to clear a tree off our roof right after Isaac, on August 29-30. Then we had him come back September 11-12 to take down three other trees that were threatening the house. Ricky is always very professional. He comes when he says he's going to and brings a full, well-trained crew and all necessary equipment. He quotes a fair price and sticks to it. We were especially grateful this time that he tok our call during the storm and sent people out while the storm was still raging, even though they couldn't do anything until the next morning. Very highly recommended.

Hurricane Isaac uprooted a large gum tree that fell on our shed and was held up by another tree in neighbors yard. Mr Vincent came on labor day gave us a price before noon, we confirmed to use his services and he was back out here at 5:00 that afternoon. Everything was very professional, the tree was taken down with a crane and manpower, cut up and taken out to the road for pick-up. There were very few ruts left in the yard, (amazing since we had 5 days of rain prior) none of the other trees were affected and the job was complete within an hr and a half! Can't say enough good about this provider! Would recommend him to anyone and have already gotten a price to take another tree down that was struck by lightening . His price also beat the other two we had to get for insurance purposes.

I would highly recomment their services to anyone. I watched the entire operation from beginning to end and I did not have a single negative experience which is almost unheard of with this type of operation. They did everything they had said they would do and then some extra things. I could not have been more pleased with their work.
Description of Work: They removed two very large water oaks (probablly 60 year old trees) and did an excellent job. The trees were located in a very small area between two houses

After calling Mr. Vincent, I was offered the bid for the work, and Mr. Vincent came the next day to take the tree away. I left early from work to make sure I was there for the entire duration. I forget how long it took, but it was only a few hours and all was taken care of. They even tarped my roof to prevent rainwater from coming in. (I purchased the tarp). Whether it is tree remoal or tree trimming, I STRONGLY recommend this company to others!
Description of Work: Mr. Vincent and his crew removed a large pine tree out my back yard, which hit the back of my house after a recent windstorm. His bid (for $2,000) was honored by my insurance company, and I was VERY impressed by Mr. Vincent's responsiveness. The tree was removed in full the next day.

We originally got an estimate for $750, but Mr Vincent called us a few weeks later and said that he could discount it to $600 if we could have it removed the next day. We jumped on it. They arrived on time and removed the tree. They backed a crane into our back yard and stacked the piles of limbs. The only real problems is that they left the truck (with crane) parked in the backyard due to some employee issues and it sank into the lawn. Now our lawn has patches where the tires were and we have to replant grass. Our pavement was also cracked from the equipment. I would overall recommend they're service. The experience we had was most due to a disgruntled employee that left the truck parked in our yard. As soon as they were able to line someone else to drive the truck, they were here to pick it up.
Description of Work: We had a sweet gum tree removed that was on the side of the house and very close to the foundation. The date of service is estimated.

The owner, who came the same day I called to give me an estimate was, I think, generally concerned about the threat to my house of one recently fallen, entangled limb. Once I called to confirm I wanted the work done by this company, the crew arrived the next day and performed the work amazingly quickly and quietly. They hauled the tree off and left virtually no trash in the yard, but did leave large ruts and a few, thin, dangling limbs that had fallen into an adjacent tree. My only real gripe is with the estimate. The owner, with some angst, said because the tree was in such bad shape, he would have to use his big crew and heavy equipment, which would be more expensive than using (apparently) his small crew. The cost was $1200. However, his big crane turned out to be in the shop, a small crew and a bobcat took out the tree. The cost? $1200, which the crew chief said was the price regardless of the equipment used.
Description of Work: Removal of fairly rotten, 25-30 foot elm, close to house. He also threw in some pruning of tree limbs over the pool. Because of the rotten condition of the tree, I got an estimate for the use of a big crane, but when that arrived, it turned out the crane could not access the tree because of power lines. We made arrangements with the owner of the adjacent house to go around the back of her house, in return for the (free) pruning of some pecan tree limbs on her roof. Ultimately, however, the crane was not used because it was in need of repair. The owner sent a small crew over with a bobcat, to remove as much dead wood as possible. The crew, however, was able to remove the whole tree from using the bobcat. I was working in my office and did not watch the removal, but it apparently was somewhat dangerous and required great skill and teamwork.
