I called Semper Fi for an estimate and they did not return my call.

The experience with Semper Fi was very professional unfortunately I thought that the estimate was high!

This was the best tree service I have ever had in the 15 years I have lived in Baton Rouge. They were very careful of our yard, our home and our neighbor's property. Even though the big crane had to be on our front yard, due to the protection and their care (and the fact that they waited) we had no damage to the grass other than a slight depression where the feet of the crane were. Every other tree service I have every used has trashed the yard and occasionally broken the irrigation system. They were able to remove the tree so that it did no additional damage to the house. They did not hurt our fence or the neighbor's power line. The cleanup crew was amazing. The claw truck had to dodge power lines, and yet did no damage to our lawn. I was amazed that they could pick up the large sections of the tree without gouging the yard while at the same time watching out for power lines. They were quick, prompt, very careful, extremely polite and extremely professional. The price was more than I have paid before - but that was partly due to the expense of the crane and the challenge of getting the tree out. I believe you get what you pay for and it was worth every penny. If I every have any additional tree work I will absolutely call them back and I will HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

They did ask me if I had received other estimates, they just evaluated what needed to be done and gave me his best estimate. I thought that was very professional. I think the work they did was fine. The owner is the one that came to do the estimate and he seemed knowledgeable about trees. He recognized right away that one of my trees was diseased and gave me suggestions.

Although this job was a small one, Jim and his employees completed the job in a professional manner - punctual, respectful and clean. I have used Jim, Semper Fi Tree Service, in the past, and was highly pleased. It was good to see he has continued his Marine Corps work ethic and that his business is thriving. I called Jim for the job, and he responded immediately. He came onsite, gave me the price and when he could do the job, and estimated how long it would take. He did exactly as he said he would. He cut the tree down, cut the logs up and removed and ground the stump. He left the yard in good shape. I have recommended him to several neighbors including my mother-in-law who have also been pleased with his work. They showed up when they said they would, took the trees down without any problems. Cleaned up afterwards. No problems at all. Very good work.
