Description of Work: A tornado hit my house causing 2 large trees to fall on the house and another across the yard, the street, and into my neighbor's yard. Mr. Robins was highly recommended by a neighbor, so I hired him. I was completely satisfied. The entire crew worked very hard for 2 1/2 days. They were all gentlemen, and they cleaned up each day before leaving.

We learned later that the work was over-priced in comparison with at least some other services. The tree removal and re-planting were OK, and he selected new trees to our specifications. The pruning was OK, except, as it progressed, the man was constantly trying to talk us into additional work -- remove more branches, completely remove a large tree, extensively trim large bushes, etc. We caved at first, on removing the top of one large tree, but soon began to strongly suspect that the additional projects were unnecessary. After all was said and done, we had very little doubt that this was the case. Clean-up was mostly OK, but a very large branch (appr. 20 ft long,12 inch diam. base) was cut and left hanging about 10 ft from the ground in our back yard. It was not readily visible, so this could have been an understandable mistake. We phoned and phoned, were promised repeatedly he would come back to remove it. He simply never did. We are over 60, but after about a month of frustration my wife and I finally had to snag it ourselves, pull it crashing down, saw it up, and haul it to the curb for pick-up.
Description of Work: Two medium and two small trees were removed and two new trees (appr. 8-10 ft) were planted. Large trees were pruned.

Trees were removed with no damage to surroundings (one was only 3 feet from the house.) Several large limbs were directly over the house, and were removed with no effect. All the cuttings were clean and close with no tearing of bark or wood.. No gouges or divots in the ground. I have shrubs everywhere, but they were protected except for on spot where some azaleas were pressed down a little bit. The crew showed up on time and did the work without disrupting our routine. I asked for a couple of last-minute changes and Kelvin was very accommodating about them. I gave them a B on quality because although we had clearly agreed no spikes would be used for climbing, somebody on the crew didn't get the word or didn't listen and sued spikes on every tree. There won't be any big or long-term threat to the trees, but it suggests making sure that the guys doing the work have actually gotten the instructions right.
Description of Work: Removed two oak trees about 2 ft diameter, topped out two oak trees 3-4 feet diameter. Removed dead or overhanging limbs 2 inches to 12 inches from ten trees. Ground stumps and removed all debris.
