A/C went out in the heat of the afternoon on a SUNDAY; made a service call and in a few hours, the HVAC Specialist was out to the house. He determined it was our breaker and was in/out of the house in short order after inspecting all systems.

I had a complete system installed by Ram Heating and AC. Mr Stevens came out to do the estimate, and was very helpful answering my questions and recommending a system that was appropriate for my house, without trying to over sell me. On the day of the install, we were scheduled for rain later in the morning, and Mr Stevens and his crew were able to get my system installed before the bad weather came in. So far the new AC system is working great, and I am saving money on my electricity bill. I would recommend Ram Heating and AC to everyone I know. Mr Stevens made the whole process very easy, and it was a pleasure doing business with him

They are honest. They are clean and neat. They followed up twice to make sure I was still happy.

My air conditioner went out around the 21st or 22nd of February. I rememebered that the owner of Ram Heating and Air resided in my neighborhood. I had never met the owner or had any dealings with the company. I called the company and they sent someone out. He reported that my unit old unit had gone out. He told me that he could get me a new one and install it on the following Firday 2 days later, fortunately the weather wasn't extremely hot. He said that they would be there at 8 am on Firday. They arrived on time and stayed until the job was completed and took away the old unit. The new A/C they installed works so much better than the old one even when it was new (its the same size). They were fast, reasonable and very professional. The new unit has a 10 year warranty and they have 24/7 service, so if something happens at 5 pm Firday I can still get service and not have to wait until the following Monday and sweat all weekend. I will reccomend this company to anyone in need of Heating and A/C.

1) Previous owners of the house had added on to the house without upgrading the AC unit and furnace to accommodate the larger square footage. Eventually, the AC unit began leaking freon and the freon had to be replaced twice per season, so I knew I had to get another central AC unit, and I wanted to upgrade. I checked out all the major AC manufacturers online and their reputations, discarded the the manufacturers with a large percentage of unhappy people, and selected a RAM unit because I noticed that if I purchased a level 13 AC unit (higher efficiency) by such and such date, I could automatically qualify for a FREE additional 10 year parts and labor warantee. There are higher, even more efficient AC units, but I selected the least expensive higher AC unit to qualify for the free extended warantee. Jim Stevens came out and did a measurement of the house and verified that I was right on the line between either replacing my 4 ton unit or upgrading to a 5 ton AC unit based on square footage. But this house was cold in winter and hot in summer, so I upgraded to the 5 ton AC unit and furnace. He gave me a price and I was surprised. I was expecting this to be more expensive a project. 2) They hammered out the brick wall on the air-intake to the interior AC and heater thing--and I was freaking out! But they new what they were doing, they needed a larger air intake for the larger AC and furnace, and it turned out quite nice, including the wood trim which installed and painted. 3) I have a 5 ton AC unit now, a modern more efficient gas furnace with a 2 speed fan (low and high) which automatically reduces the temperature highs and lows in this house and brings them closer together. Also got a digital thermostat that lights up at night. This house is so much evenly warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. AND MY ELECTRICITY AND GAS BILLS ARE LOWER THAN WHAT THEY WERE IN 2003, because this is a high efficiency AC and furnace unit. 4) In the 2nd year of operation, something melted in the outdoor AC unit and the whole thing needed to be replaced. If I had not gotten that free 10 year warrantee, I'd have to have shelled out almost $1,000. But they replaced it in 1 day at no cost to me. Good Service. 5) I'm on disability and often confused with my narcotic drugs. One day, I couldn't get the AC unit to turn on and I called Jim Stevens at Ram Air about it. I have two sets of breaker switches, a newer set outside in the carport when I had this house rewired, and the original breaker switch set in the laundry room. I thought that the laundry room breakers were obsolete, but I was wrong. Jim sent over a crew and they looked around for 30 minutes and discovered that the laundry room breaker switches were operational, switched them on and off, and the AC came back on. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THIS SERVICE. They could have, but they did not. 6) Last year in summer, the AC unit condensation drain pipe became plugged after about 6 years of service. The metal "tub" that collects condensation beneath the interior AC thing, when the drain pipe is plugged, filled with water which lifted a float high enough to turn off the AC and send an alarm. It was a Saturday night in August, hot, hot, hot. I called Ram Air to leave a message that I wanted them to come out on Monday when they were working and fix it. I learned that Jim Steven's Ram Air has a nighttime weekend crew that can come out for such things. At 10:30PM on a Saturday night, the Ram Air van shows up at my house to unplug the condensation drain pipe, suck out the water in that box, and clean my coils. One hour later I had AC! Life does not get any better!!! All for about $100, reasonable, I think.
