McDaniel's Carpentry Services

He did a beautiful job replacing the doors. He was very professional. Came when he said he would be there. The door is beautiful. The storm door was one with extra security bolts. Neither of us had worked with that before. But he dogged it until it worked! Now my front entrance is secure and reliable.

I left a detailed message earlier in the week regarding getting a quote on a water-damaged ceiling. Time is essential, b/c we are trying to sell the home. No one called us back. This may be a good company in other regards, but not responsiveness. It leaves potential customers with bad taste when there call is not even returned.

The provider did a good job to install the doors, take out the old one out and put a new one in a professional manner. He cleaned the work are after his job. I liked his job and would use his service again if needed.

Mike was very responsive when I called and immediately came out to estimate the work. He did excellent work on these projects. . Mike really seems to enjoy doing carpentry and was very pleasant to have around. I will definitely use him again

Overall, the experience of this attempt to use this company was lousy.

Fanstastic. Showed up on time. Worked as long as he said he would and came back the next day as he stated to finish the work withing the time frame he promised. Great work

Once he was able to return my call, Michael was able to come almost immediately to give me an estimate, and it was only a week until he did the work. He was friendly, easy to talk to and work with. He was great to have around because he was very cheerful and he did his work well and in good time. We were very pleased.

We ended up not doing the project. He quoted us around $1200.00 and it was considerable less than a home improvement store. I don't know about his work because obviously he didn't do anything, but he was very polite. He seemed to listen to exactly what I had in mind and he seemed to have pretty good professional ideas, things that I didn't know about, that he could incorporate into the whole project. He seemed like a really good character. He did a good job of doing the estimate. I thought the price was extremely fair. I don't know what would have ended up happening if he would have ended up needing to get more materials and they would have cost more. I thought it was definitely very fair in what I was expecting. I would get an estimate again.

I don't think I could have been more pleased with his per formance, from initial contact to finish. I know enough about the work and would have done it myself, but am too busy and not getting any younger. I knew it was a small job that many folks won't take without trying to sell you the bank, but he didn't. A very professional, capable young man. I will use him again and recommend him to anyone. I told him I had found him on Angie's list and he didn't even know he was on it. He does, now.

My Mother-in-law's house needed some repair on her sofia and facia or the insurance company was going to drop her policy. I called four different carpenters. The first one came quickly but the estimate was way over the top (Mom is on a limited income.) The second was way too little, (I check a rating service and he had very bad reviews.) The thrid one came out but never called me back, (not a good sign.) Mr. McDaniel came out and gave the estimate. He took his time to tell me what he would do and how he would do it. He pointed out some other damage we had missed. His estimate was fair and affordable. As he began work and pulled down the damaged sofia, termites fell out, (the culprit.) He immediately called me. We talked about exterminators. I asked him if he had anyone to recommend. He said he did know some fine people and I should call and check them out. It turned out I knew them too. He was right, they were fine people. He held off on his work until they gave the all clear, then finished up. His work was excellent and we plan to have him back to do more. This is a pleasant, honest, young man. THE TRUE TEST: We were going out of town before he had finished painting so I went ahead and paid him, (even knowing from experience thats once some contractors get the money they never come back.) Not only did he come back to finish the work, but my Mom mentioned she was having trouble with her sink facuet and he fixed it as well.
