When I first got the service, they were excellent. After a few years, they stopped completing the work that they were charging me for. I had a locked gate to the backyard. They were supposed to call me a day or so before they were coming so that I could unlock the gate. I would get a bill even though they did not complete the service. They would eventually come back to complete the back but would never call to have me open the gate. I received a bill on two different occasions stating that they completed the pest service on days that I was home from work. I didn't leave the house on those days but never say a technician.

We have a contract with them. They come out four times a year to spray the yard and stuff. They charge $75 for every quarter. We had some bugs getting inside the house so that was why we called them initially, and basically there are no ants outside after we started doing that. They have managed to keep the bugs and things like that outside. They really don't do much inside. They do more on the outside in my yard. If I ask them to spray inside, they will but they normally do the outside. We would continue to use them in the future.

The initial inspection already confirmed what we knew. We had active termites. They missed obvious signs of the extent of the spread which were found by other termite inspectors from other companies. We have had a long-term relationship with this company so, despite the short-comings of the inspection, we went with them. They were not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. There are several pluses to their service. (1) They priced a lessor treatment program, but when confronted with evidence that they had missed, they went well beyond their original treatment plan at no additional charge. (2) When I complained about their treatment methods, they took the criticism positively without bad attitude. There were minuses as well. (1) The solo treatment technician, David, came to the home without supervision. His treatment plan was wholly inadequate and I refused to let him start. The following day, his supervisor come out and reinspected and agreed to much more extensive treatment. (2) The third day, David and his supervisor began treatment. The trenching was, by law and manufacturer specifications, to be six inches deep. Their initial effort was 2-4 inches. The soil was not particularly difficult to trench and there were few roots or other obstructions. When I complained, they made a half-hearted effort in the few places I measured, but made no effort to review other work including the area in the back where the trenching was only two inches. As before, they responded to my complaint positively. In the end, the average depth was about 4 inches. (3) By law and manufacturer specifications, the poison was to be pumped into the trenches at the rate of 4-gallons per 10-feet. I felt it was important that I stand and watch. The applicator nozzle had a gallonage indicator. What became clear was that the shallow trenches could not hold the required amount, and overflowed. However, the ground was reasonably porous. With soak-in delays, they managed to get the right gallonage in the backside trenches while I watched. Later as they did the front, I noticed that the work had gone more quickly. I checked the pump equipment and found that they had set the dilution from 0.06% to 0.10%. This meant that they could get all the poison into the trench without using as much water. This is permitted by the manufactures when absorption of the 4 gallons is impossible due to soil conditions. However, that was NOT the case on my property. (4) They made no measurement of the amount of poison actually used. An "automatic" feeder mixed the poison as it was used. I eyeballed the amount required and used out of the 5-gallon manufacture's plastic jug, and it seemed about right. However, the technicians had made no effort to measure. The dilution of 0.06% requires very little poison in each gallon of water, if their equipment was not functioning properly, the amount of poison used would be improper, and they would have NO way of knowing. (5) Manufacture's specifications required protective clothing and respirators. The technicians used none for either the external spraying of interior walls during the trench filling. Further, when spraying the walls from the inside of the house, they did not cover, or protect the carpeting and furniture. After spraying, the carpet up to one foot away from the wall was notably wet.
Description of Work: Inspected home for termite infestation. There was a whole wall that had to be replaced (not part of their service) due to active termites. Trench home and garage for termites. Applied Termidor termite protection. Foamed walls.
