Description of Work: We had our kitchen remodeled and our house painted and new tops for our bathroom sinks.

Description of Work: David Markey, owner of Markey Construction company was a great find. We wanted to do a complete update of our large master bathroom. We had first visited with Acadian House Kitchen and Bath, and after spending over $1,600 for them to look at our bathroom and making recommendations, they came in with a price of $44,000. We then had David come give us a bid. He took his measurments and we told him what we wanted to accomplish. He even made additional recommendations, which we had never thought of. A few days later he gave us a quote of $29,000 for the same work the other company wanted $44,000. In addition we also had him remove all of our carpet in the four bedroom and hallway. We replaced them with hand scraped hardwood flooring. The total cost for the entire project was $39,000. David uses great subcontractors who were always polite, professional and very good at their trade. Whenever we had an issue, David would make sure it was resolved. We were very satistied with the quality of the work, the price, and the professionalism exhibited. The bathroom was gutted ( except for the cabintry which was in good condition), old tile removed, double shower completely updated with tile, new corner soaker tub installed with tile and wood frame, enclosed the toilet area, new lights, moved light switches and electrical outlets for better convience, textured the walls and paint. New wood flooring in master closet including painting, removed of all carpet in the house, installed wood flooring in the four bedroom, new shoe molding and painting of all baseboards, and installed tile in the hallway.
