My camp at False River needed new counter tops, so I went to Lowes. The staff at the store was nice. The measuring man was nice. The installation crew was terrible. Biggest problem: the back splash for the kitchen counters would not fit. The installation chief said, "It's measured wrong. We can't do it. Get some tile, instead." My tile man said, the crew cut out recepticle holes wrong. Added expense. Then...they left in a one-screw mirror hanger and covered it with quartz backsplash. Hmmm? No one has a screw driver? The installation chief said, "Just cover it with another mirror." My tile man took it out. Then...Corner cabinet has a lazy susan. Installation crew didn't put back in the top bracket. Have to order another one and get handyman to work on it. Added expense. Then...Stove pushed back in place but not plugged in or gas turned on. Handyman fixed it. Then...Dishwasher not secured to top of cabinet. Handyman working on it. Added expense. Then...sink doesn't fit so they cut hole to fit another one that's onsite. oops. Doesn't fit. Have to special order new sink to fit the hole cut by installation crew. Added expense. Let's see, have I forgotten anything. I'll probably find something new. The product is very nice. Too bad the installation crew made it a terrible job for Lowe's.

I would probably use them again if I had to. Sometimes you do what you have to do and you just suck it up and put up with it. They’re not local. They are not responsive as local people are, in my opinion. It’s a job for them. That’s the kindest thing I can say. They go to work because they have to, I guess. There is no pride. They don’t take pride in what they do.

Julie Holmes was extrermly helpful with helping me purchase my new kitchen cabniets. Despite the fact that she was also a victim of flooding she was focused on my problem and went way out of her way to assit me in getting the new cabnits purchased.

We had to work around the weather, lots of rain. The fencing contractor was on time and talked me through everything he was going to do. It took three days, afternoon thunderstorms each day bu the fnce is now up.

I ordered the dryer online at 9:45 on a Friday night. A 8:00 the net morning Aaron called and asked if this was a good time to deliver. I said yes, he got there within fifteen minutes and by 9:35 the old one was gone and the new one was running, I never heard of anybody beating twelve hours for delivery and installation of an appliance!

It went good.

They delivered the range and left it boxed in my kitchen. They said that because it was hard wired they couldn't install it even with the power switched off at the breaker. I was under the impression when I bought the range an was offered installation that it would, in fact, be installed. I am fairly certain that Lowe's deals with a variety of appliance hook ups but for some reason removing the wires from the old range which would entail removing 3 nuts was deemed beyond their skill level so they left me with the new range in it's box, the old range on kitchen floor but still wired. Once I saw it was a matter of 3 nuts, I removed the wires from the old range. Now, I have to find someone who can move the beast from my kitchen floor and place the new range where I can hook it up.

My husband shops at Lowe's pretty regularly .

We enjoyed it. It was great. We had an excellent experience.

The work turned out fine. The installer was very good and even picked up on a problem that he contacted Lowe's about.

There was one exception to their service. One window was real high up on a pretty high ceiling. In replacing that they had damaged some of the paint, but they had a painter come out. We supplied them with some touchup paint and they took care of that. I wouldn't say that would detract from the service because they had made good. The salesman was particularly good. He was excellent. He was very professional, very timely, and always dependable. He was very easy to deal with. If he was a little bit late, he gave us a call. He made every effort to try and make sure that we understood the product and any issues that may arise as we purchase them and put them in. He knew a lot about the product. We would definitely use them again.

As with all projects through Lowe's, the process starts in the store, where you pay a $35 charge for inspection and estimate. That $35 becomes a credit toward your project total if you choose to have the service performed. Lowe's has a list of contractors that they use to perform the installation services. The contractor who will be performing the work comes to do the inspection and assessment, then Lowe's calls you in a few days to go into the store, review your estimate, decide whether or not you want to go ahead with the project, and make any changes that you want to make. You pay the total amount at that time if you decide to go ahead. The contractor for our project was very professional. The windows were delivered the day before they were to be installed. The contractor showed up on time, and a group of four or five men worked together to remove the old windows and install the new ones. The work took two days. One thing that I wanted to be sure of is that the sealing between the windows and the house frame was very solid. It is - not two weeks after the job was finished, Hurricane Gustav stormed through Baton Rouge with 90 mph winds and driving rain. We did not have a single leak. Several of our old windows would have blown out in the same conditions. Another great benefit of these windows is the full-length window screens. We were without power for six days after the hurricane, and we were able to open our windows at night to cool off the house without having to worry about letting in the dreadful mosquitoes. One thing I wish we had known in advance: You will have a layer of dust over EVERYTHING from the removal of the old windows and cutting of the existing frame that needs to be done. We moved everything away from the windows, but I would advise people to cover up all of their electronic equipment prior to the start of the work.
