Legacy Builders LLC

For years we have contemplated an addition to our old (1930s) home and finally decided to pursue the idea. After researching recommended builders through various people and channels, we contacted Louis to come and look at the possibility of the addition. We have never done anything of this nature and Louis worked with us to help us understand the steps that needed to be taken to get to the point where a builder could submit a proposal for the project. He helped us understand the local building codes, building waiver and permit procedures, and after discussing various options with us was able to recommend a draftsman to draw up the plans . He was responsive and patient when I had additional questions throughout the process. In the end, after receiving multiple bids we decided not to have the addition built but had we gone through with the project Louis would definitely have been my builder. He was responsive, polite, and very upfront and realistic about the scope, timeframe, and cost of the project.

I had to pay $4,600 deposit & $3,000 after granite was installed, and bal. $3,250 at completion. I signed contract 8/11 and paid bal. on 9/22. Louis C. Rogge, Jr., (owner) was not well organized. The backsplash tile was not ordered on time. Cost us 2 wks. He promised plumbers, but none showed. He wasn't on the schedule.

Starting in Feb.'15 began meeting to discuss notional plans. Lewis, the owner, help me weigh options btw quality and cost. I also got bids from two other local and reputable builders in the neighborhood. Lewis, was neither highest or lowest, but the difference was his responsiveness and ability to work with me in developing plans. Also very good Better Business reviews. He was professional in contracting the work making sure we were clear on scope, price and payment. He started when he said he would and always maintained contact throughout the project which began in June and completed in Sept. He had established relations with subcontractors and his immediate workers were very good , clean and trustworthy. All in all, the adjectives I would use for this contractor are fair, pleasant, trustworthy, skilled.

We started by getting multiple estimates and Louis Rogge gave us the best combination of price and ideas. Louis made it clear from the start that he would do everything possible for the shop and patio we had hoped for to be the result of this job. We probably asked many stupid questions--but Louis was patient and informative and provided answers to all of our questions. Even though we changed our minds about some aspects of the job as it progressed--Louis brought this project in on time and very close to the original quoted price. This was accomplished despite crazy rain at the beginning of the job. I have to say that Mr. Rogge surpassed our expectations! Louis Rogge is very professional and maintained very good control of his workers and the jobsite. He was very attentive to our ideas and sometimes intricate details.

Remodeled the apartment attached to my garage to make ready for rental. They had so many good ideas and came to work promptly each day and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company.

It went very well. Louis and his team worked with us to update our bathroom. They were punctual, professional and polite. They had excellent craftsmanship and detail that we did not think of in planning the remodel...they exceeded our expectations. They renovated our entire bathroom including removing all tile from floor to ceiling. Reinstalled new tile, flooring installed all fixtures, added wainscot and painted the entire bathroom. This was a big job as our bathroom was old and had a lot of tile on the walls.

Mr. Rogge was very professional, showed up when he said he would, and communicated well throughout the project regarding his initial estimate, costs and time to complete the job. He did BEAUTIFUL work and took his time to make sure the job was done right and looked perfect with what was a detail oriented and time consuming project. He completed the job within his estimated time table with no delays. We love the work he did and would definitely use him again for our next home project.

They were punctual, cleaned up after themselves daily, and work was done within estimated budget and timeframe. Overall, Louis and his crew were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him and will definitely use him again in the future.

When I contacted Louis, my home was in a state of total chaos. An almost complete foundation repair job had just been completed on my pier and beam home. Most floors were exposed to the crawlspace and I was trying to demolish the bathrooms since the subfloor underneath both needed to be replaced due to dry rot. I was completely overwhelmed by the repairs that were needed and it was affecting every aspect of my life. I feel very fortunate to have contacted Louis to take on my job. Louis and his crew are simply excellent to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend. They were polite, punctual, communicated very well, and delivered on their committments throughout the project. Best of all, Louis demonstrated an outstanding willingness to be flexible with both the scope and timing of my job. Due to the nature of the renovations, it was challenging to anticipate all job requirements and potential obstacles facing us during the initial planning stage. Louis went out of his way on multiple occassions to ensure I was always comfortable with the situation.

Louis is an outstanding contractor! His subs were highly professional and met my expectations for quality of work. Louis kept me posted on progress of the construction and made sure that I was completely satisfied with all work. He was punctual in meeting his deadlines and completed the project within the expected time frame. I felt like Louis always had my interest as a first priority. For me, everything went well.

All work was performed within the time estimate and within the budget excluding extras. All extras were discussed and prices were agreed upon before proceeding resulting in NO surprises. The quality of work was excellent. I would used this contractor again.

I contacted Legacy Builders after their services had been recommmended by a friend. I moved into a house that is almost 50 years old and has never been through any major rennovations, so I needed help! I contacted the owner of Legacy (Louis) who could not have been more pleasant or understanding. Louis was able to commit to my project and begin work quickly. I work night shift and have a crazy sleep schedule but Louis could not have been more accomodating to my crazy hours. The work that Louis did to the outside of my house has totally transformed its appearance-new paint, new doors ,and repair of rotting woodwork .Louis also came to my rescue when an unexpected problem with my shower arose offering his expertise and advice. He took care of the problem quickly and I couldn't be more grateful. Louis has also been extremely helpful in offering me realistic suggestions for my future renovations. I can't wait to work with Louis in the near future and I would recommend his services to anyone. Both he and the people he works with are pleasant and professional. I can't wait to start my next project!

They were great! Louis listened intently to what we wanted and didn't stop until we were pleased with the plans. He gave suggestions that steered us in the right direction but still allowed our input and kept our satisfaction his priority. He checked in often to ensure that we liked what was being done. He was professional and polite. He was punctual and respectful of our home, our schedules, and our time. A small amount of damage occurred on accident as the beam was being installed and he was quick to repair it. He even repaired a few nearby bubbles in the wall while he was at it. I would definitely recommend legacy to anyone. Louis was friendly and constantly offered suggestions and helpful information. Since he saw that we were rennovating most of our home, he also said that if we ever needed referrals for other services such as electrical or plumbing, he could give us names. Most importantly, the beam and pillars he built are beautiful! He pretty much recreated them from the picture we showed him. We are very happy with his work.

We contacted Legacy Builders about covering our patio just to get an idea on costs. We looked into it about 5 years back and didn't feel comfortable with the previous contractors we talked to back then. Louis, the owner of Legacy Builders, told me he had recently done a similar project and recommended we extend our current roof to give it a better look. That was what we wanted to do when we looked into it 5 years ago, but the contractors we talked to back then made it seem as if it couldn't be done. Louis even contacted the owner of the home he had recently done something similar to and arranged for us to be able to see what he had done. We liked what we saw and his estimate was very reasonable, so we decided to go ahead with the work. Louis and his co-worker were the only two on the job. They arrived each work day around 8:30 and wrapped up around 4:30. They kept a neat area (as best as could be expected given the work) and were respectful of our property. In the end the quality of work was what I expected and there weren't any "surprises". I'll add that Louis seems very meticulous and pays attention to detail. He's not in a hurry just to move on to the next project. Needless to say we are very pleased and would definitely recommend Legacy Builders to others.

It went extremely well and we were very pleased with the final product. Louis was trustworthy and easy to deal with and assisted us with every step of the decision making to ensure that our vision came to fruition. I love my updated home and am very pleased that I chose Legacy Builders to perform the work and have recommended Louis to many of my friends!

The provider was very accommodating. He wanted to be certain that I was involved in the process and that I was pleased each step of the way. I am very happy that I chose this provider. I am very happy with the results!

We contacted Louis back in May to get 2 small jobs done in our home. He seemed very nice and said he would come take a look at the project in 2 days. He didn't show, nor call. A week and a half later, I called him back and he said he was "very busy," but he would be there soon. He came by a few days later to check out the project and said "I'll call you with a price in a few days." A week or so passes and I call Louis for a price.. He will get back to me very soon. A few more days pass.. I call for a price, and he apologizes again and says he will have me a price by the end of day. He finally calls that evening and and gave us a bid, $2500 and the job would take 2-3 days. We confirmed we wanted him to do the 2 small jobs, as long as he could get to it by the end of June, since my wife was due with our first child at the end of July. He said "that shouldn't be a problem at all," and put us down for June 18th or June 23rd, at the latest. On June 16th, I call to check status on our upcoming project, and Louis said the 18th won't work, but he'll be there on the 23rd. So I call on the 21st, just to confirm he is coming, but his phone appeared to be disconnected. No big deal, he said he was coming, so that weekend we prepared our home for the upcoming project. The 23rd comes and once again, Louis doesn't show up, nor does he call. I call that afternoon and he is still "very busy, a lot of guys are on vacation.." yada yada yada, but "will be there Next week on June 30th." So I call on Thursday, the 26th to confirm they were coming on the 30th, and he said he was just "too busy" and that the soonest he could possibly make it would be July 3rd. We decided to cancel the job, since my wife is about to have a baby and we just couldn't trust Louis to complete the job in time. If he didn't want to do the job, I just wish he would've said so from the beginning, so I could've got someone else. Now I've got an unhappy wife and our new baby's bedroom has two weird closets in it from the 1950's instead of one big, beautiful closet. I also wish he would've called me to inform us that there was a delay, or just called me or shown up when he said he would. Maybe he does great quality work.. We sure won't find out. Louis may be great if you don't have a timeline, but if you do, you may want to look elsewhere.

My wife and I put this renovation off for some time now because we dreaded to have to endure the entire ordeal. One of our main concerns was the untidy state of things that the renovation was going to make. When we finally decided to bite the bullet I was directed to Legacy Builders by a friend that had just had them do a major renovation on their home. They were completely satisfied with Louis Rogge and his work ethics and his team. I asked them to have Mr. Rogge contact me about our work. Mr. Rogge did so in short order and made arrangements to meet with my wife and I to discuss the project. I expressed to Mr. Rogge that we were perfectionist almost to a fault and in addition to that keeping things clean during the construction was very important to us. It just makes sense to vacuum and not sweep when doing work inside so that the dust is removed not pushed back up in the air to fall again. Well apparently, that was enough for Mr. Rogge to tell his crew that being clean and doing it perfect was paramount in keeping us happy. We are not difficult but we are particular or peculiar. My wife and I are seniors and allowing strangers in our home is not and easy thing for us to do. The crew of Legacy Builders were like working with family. These guys were awesome to work with. They respected the fact they were in our home and treated us with tons of respect and their efforts to keep the work areas clean was impeccable. We felt so comfortable with the Legacy crew we left the house and allowed them to remain and continue their work. Not something we have ever done before but it all went well. The demo/construction time on the project was completed in a very timely manner (approx. 5 days) which is remarkable. We are very satisfied with Legacy Builders and recommend them for your home construction projects. I don't often express commonplace accolades and clichés but on behalf of Legacy Builders I will make an exception. They are an outstanding crew of hard working, respectful, neat and clean, very polite, artistic craftsmen that I will engage in my next home improvement project. Only problem I have is now my wife says the kitchen is just to beautiful to cook in. I just can't win!!!! Thanks Louis for a job well done.

I own rental properties, and have used several contractors, Legacy Builders is one of the few I would recommend. Very good communication with Louis. He was in contact with me through every step of the process. Though not without a few challenges, which is not unexpected, Louis met them and finished the project in a respectable amount of time. Louis was very professional, honest, and respectable throughout the entire process. The charge for the job was neither cheap or expensive...it was a fair price for good work. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will be using Legacy Builders services in the future.

I told Louis what I wanted for the area behind my house (which was a waste of space and a grassy unusable area that would fill up with water with every rain) and with his vision and suggestions, it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. We now live on our patio and have a great place to entertain our family and friends. The work was impeccably done and it is my favorite part of my house. The way it was constructed will add value to my home should I ever sell and I was grateful for his insight and experience. He turned something I was only thinking about doing, into a beautiful reality at an affordable price and I will definitely use him again on all future updating and/or remodeling of my home.

Everything has been done in a very timely manner. Contractor has been here everyday and has focused on this job entirely. unlike others who have multiple jobs going on and somtimes you won't see for a couple days. We plan to continue this project with a handicap ramp made for electric scooter and small deck coming out of apartment, so Mother in law can stay somewhat dependant. Friendly staff and very knowledgable on projects completed. Most importantly, always cleans up after themselves.Thanks Louis

We've lived here 16 years and this is the first time I haven't wanted to move! I really could not be happier with the outcome! Our home is over thirty years old and the bathrooms had never been updated! My husband and I had a pretty strict budget and were pleased when Louis helped us discover what all we could get for our money. We gutted both bathrooms, putting in new lighting, toilets, double sinks (Yay! Finally!), floors, crown molding, mirrors, venting/heaters, cabinetry, bathtubs/showers and the most gorgeous tile work! When I wanted to do the wall painting myself to keep costs down, Louis worked with us and recommended a Color Specialist. As the project progressed, it grew! My simple closet update turned into a fabulous, well built showpiece! I am thankful that Louis was so accommodating and allowed us to change our minds repeatedly! Because our remodel was around the holidays, time was of the essence...Louis and crew were prompt and efficient. In our opinion, you can not get better personal service and attention than with Legacy Builders! I finally love my home!!

Louis was on target with pricing and on target with timing.
