They did not call for two weeks. When I called they said it was ready, When I showed up, they called for it to be brought pu and told me there would be no charge/ Not surprising since they hadn't touched it. They asked me to come back to the shop so a tech could ask me what I had seen as the problem, He showed me how the shift lever wouldn't move out of 2nd gear, and I said yep, that was it, He said, he didn't know what they could do about that. I asked "Are you telling me this can't be fixed?" and he replied, well, I guess it could be fixed, it just that I personally don' t know what to do," I asked if there was somebody who might know what to do, and was told that guy had just left. Another guy came in and they proceeded to have a committee meeting. The new jammed the gear lever back and forth several times, sprayed with WD-40 and then jammed it back and forth some more. It did began to move into the other gears, but clearly it was not a smooth movement. Eventually he said "Well, it's a little tight but it moves." I said I understood there was somebody on the staff who was more familiar with the transmission linkage, The response was "Yes but I don't really know what he can do except maybe replace the cable. That's where it is, in the cable; your transmission is OK," I had been assuming all along that it needed a new cable and I can't imagine why he thought I would want to just go away knowing the cable was already shot. I told him i was going to leave it because I would really like to get the problem fixed completely, He kind of shrugged and said OK, The young lady took me up and said she was going to write my up. I asked if she realized I was going to leave it, and she said yes but she was going to write it up so they wouldn't lose it. I asked to talk to the manageer so I could request some special attention, but they pointed him out and it was the guy who seemed to think the repair was OK if the handle was "tight but moves." I didn't figure there was much to gain, so I left. It will be interesting to see what happens next,
Description of Work: Replaced a cable on a 15 year old Honda lawnmower, so that blade engagement worked again. When I picked it up, that was fixed but the drive would not get out of second gear. I took it back.

I had to call them 4 weeks later to check on the trimmer. The guy on the phone said that he would call me back to let me know if it was ready. He did not call me back. I called them the next afternoon and the trimmer was ready. I took it home and it started but would not idle. It kept killing on me. I brought it back to have it fixed again (Wednesday). The guy told me that it would be ready quickly since I was returning it not fixed. I called Tuesday of the next week. It was still not ready. I picked it up unfixed and will NEVER return or recommend!!!
Description of Work: I brought a trimmer to be fixed. I was told that they were 3 weeks behind but left it any way.

One of my two repairs took several weeks. I think it got lost in the system because when I called after the promised finish date they hemmed and hawed and then told me they had to order a part. On the plusside both repairs were a good job.VERY noteworthy is that they wash the machine off so it looks nice AND they give it back with a full tank of gas. You don't see many places these days that give little courtesies like that. It gives the impression that they care what you think about them instead of just wanting your bucks.
Description of Work: Repair of my 15 year old Honda lawn mower. Had it repaired here twice (for two different problems.) One was a problem with the self-propelling mechanism and the other was failure to start. Successful repair both times for a price that seemed reasonable for the work.
