It went very well. Project started right on time and finished on time within budget. I will definitely call them back next time I need some remodeling work done. It included carpentry, sheetrock, painting, plumbing, some electrical, and even some flooring and concrete work.
Description of Work: Handypro helped remodel a existing commercial space into a dental office.

An appointment was set up immediately. I spoke to the office manager who was very nice and helpful. A technician was sent out the next day. He was very punctual, professional and helpful. He knew what I wanted to have done and obtained the information needed to complete the estimate. I received the estimate the next day along with contact information for questions, etc. I have not made a final decision on what I will do. I am obtaining another estimate.
Description of Work: Provided a free estimate to complete a project.

Well a few weeks ago during a long and heavy rain, the roof started leaking in multiple places. I called them to get them to take care of it and was told that they only gurantee their work for a year. What? You do a whole complete roof and can only quarantee it for a year? I will never use them. ****UPDATE**** I had a professional come out and take a look. The work done by HANDYPRO is worse than we thought. All the vents will have to be redone because HandyPro didn't make sure the seals were clean and they are also leaking now. They will also have to remove the shingles in an area and redo it. Remember use HandyPro at your own risk,
Description of Work: Bought a house in April of 2009. The roof was redone in February of 09 by this company. Actually looks nice.

Once the estimate was received and I checked the licensing and insurance, an appointment was made to do the work within a month. As stated previously, all was done to my satisfaction. The office called frequently to verify I was satisfied with the progress and the quality of the work.
Description of Work: Roof repairs - repaired hole in decking and replaced shingles that were damaged by tree falling during Hurricane Gustav. Replaced 16 foot section of fascia, sofit and two rotten corners, as well as ~25 feet of drip edge. Painted new trim. Repaired sheetrock in hall ceiling, applied Kiltz to ceilings in living room, hall and foyer and painted same. Removed acoustic tile ceiling in family room and kitchen; replaced with sheetrock and painted same. Crown moldings were removed and replaced. All was very neatly done and any flaws were promptly redone.
Called HandyPro and they sent out workman to make estimate. This man was fired before he could start to work and they sent out another workman to look over the job and confirm estimate. He did and started to work next day. Skim coated wall and had many tool marks that I insisted he fix before painting. He took up the linoleum floor and was amazed that it was put down with mastic. They charged me extra to take up the mastic! He did this and put down the tile so crooked that we called Carl and they had to redo the tile job at their cost. The next man they sent out was the man who took up the floor and painted the room. The next man they sent out laid the tile and hung the molding and baseboard. The grout job on the tile was terrible, the paint had runs and drips in places, and the base coat showed through in other places, the crown molding was hung upside down. I supplied all the materials and they ruined over $300 of crown molding. We just paid them to get rid of them. I cannot recommend this company for any project.
Description of Work: Take up old flooring and put down ceramic tile, skim coat walls and ceiling, prime, and paint. Hang crown molding and put down baseboard.

WE WERE CALLED IN TO REPAIR WORK THAT HAD BEEN DONE BY THE HOMEOWNER. THE ORIGINAL PERSON THAT SUBMITTED A BID RECEIVED A JOB OFFER WITH HIS OLD COMPANY IN CONSTRUCTION UP NORTH AND MOVED. PRIOR TO THE JOB BEING STARTED WE SENT OUT ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL TECH TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PROPOSAL WAS IN LINE WITH THE WORK TO BE DONE. THIS WAS ACCEPTABLE BY THE HOMEOWNER AND WE PROCEEDED IMMEDIATELY. TO MAKE THE MEMBER HAPPY WE WENT BEYOND OUR SCOPE OF WORK. HE HAD WANTED US TO LAY TILE OVER HIS LINOLEUM WHICH WE DIDN'T DO. WE RENTED A SCRAPER TO REMOVE THE LINOLEUM THAT WAS NOT IN OUR BID AT NO EXTRA CHARGE AND 2 DAYS EXTRA LABOR WITH MORE WORKERS. CROWN MOLDING THAT WAS UPSIDE DOWN WAS NOT DONE BY OUR COMPANY BUT BY THE OWNER OF THE HOME. WE PUT MOLDING IN ANOTHER ROOM RIGHT SIDE UP AND HE THOUGHT THAT WAS UPSIDE DOWN. WHEN WE FINISHED ALL WORK AND HAD THE INSPECTION THE MEMBER WAS VERY THRILLED AT THE WORK WE HAD DONE AND HAD NOT CHARGED HIM EXTRA FOR AN ADDITIONAL $2000.00 IN LABOR AND MATERIALS USED. WE ARE JUST BECOMING AWARE OF THIS BLOG BY THE MEMBER AND THE WORK WAS PERFORMED ALMOST A YEAR AGO. WE REGRET THAT HE HAS COME TO FEEL THIS WAY BUT WE ALSO KNOW THAT GOING IN TO REPAIR SOMEONE ELSE WORK DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK IN OUR BEST INTEREST. WE APOLOGIZE TO HIM THAT HE IS UNHAPPY BUT DO WISH WE HAD KNOWN THIS AT THE TIME INSTEAD OF LEAVING THE JOB IN GOOD STANDING AS HE HAD SAID AT THE TIME.
