It went well. I got estimates from six or seven contractors. I inquired of each how far apart they would place fence posts, how deep in the ground fence posts would be driven, and how they proposed to prevent sagging of a planned heavy gate wide enough to allow a truck to easily pass through. Hagan proposed to drive fence posts deeper than their competitors. Hagan was the only bidder who said that such a wide and heavy gate would require metal posts and a metal frame on the backside of the gate itself to prevent sagging. Although most of the bids were close to each other in price, I was surprised that Hagan was the lowest bidder! And we now have what is obviously a high quality fence.

I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with this company, and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!!! I was having some major medical problems which is one of the reasons I was adding their fence. I wanted to fence in an area to have a courtyard to be able to allow my dogs to go in the courtyard while I was outside in the courtyard and able to sit on the seating there. I didn't want them to be able to simply duck under the fence and run off any and every time they are out there. I fully explained this upfront. Yet, when I returned after the fence was finished, it was entirely too high off of the ground and the spacing between the iron rods were not what I requested....it was too far and the dogs could EASILY get out. I called and spoke to the owner who initially was extremely nice and told me that if I would go ahead and pay, I had his guarantee that he personally would come out and fix it that week. He said there had been some miscommunication on what I wanted, but he promised that it would be fixed. I explained to him that it wasn't just a cosmetic issue. I was very much a necessary functional issue that had to be addressed in order for me to ever be able to enjoy the new fenced in courtyard area. He gave me his word that he would be by. One then two weeks passed with him taking no phone calls and his staff refusing to ever put him on the phone.....this same unprofessional behavior continued on indefinitely. After he received payment, he never, not once again, took my phone call. Needless to say, no one from the company ever returned to fix my very expensive fence. Their price for this was horrible. I only paid more because someone I knew recommended them to me. So in the end, I paid much more than other bids for an ornamental fence that is 100% just that and absolutely completely unusable for my purposes. In fact, I ended up having to hire another fencing company to install an additional gate separating my back yard from the front fencing Hagan's Fence installed. So, in addition to the price I initially paid, I am out another $600 for the additional gate and its installation.

You just push a button, the gates come open, and if it's raining, you don't have to get out in the rain. They have a 30 year warranty on their fence. They were very professional, they gave me a good price, they cleaned up after themselves, they did the work, didn't give me any problems, and they used the proper attachments for the fence including non-corrosive nails. I give them high ratings and would use them again in the future.

Salesperson came out to give us an estimate to build and install a custom iron gate for an entry way. When I went to the showroom to pay a deposit, I noticed that finials were available for the top of the gate -- salesperson NEVER mentioned that these were available when quoting. When the worker showed up to install the gate, I noted that the finials were very loose to the point of possibly coming off. The paint on the gate was very poorly applied, looked like they had not even prepared the service prior to painting. Very poor aesthetics. When I explained to the worker that this was unacceptable he called his office with me present and made degrading comments about how I didn't like the quality. He was very rude and unprofessional. Upon calling the salesman, they decided to take it back and fix it. The worker's truck then did not start and he sat in my driveway for 30 minutes banging on his starter and trying to start the truck. It finally started and then he left. After promising to show up on 3 different occasions and not calling on one of those to cancel, the salesman finally called back and said that they could not get the gate right and that they just wanted to cut ties with us and not finish the job. He did promise to send the deposit back, but we had already removed other fencing in prep for this gate to be installed and so now we are stuck without a gate. They did offer to install the poorly made one, but we didn't trust them enough to come and drill into our house to install.

I had a terrible experience with them. They broke our sewer line and we had to end up paying $1500 in plumbing cost because they denied doing anything. They said it was coincidence. We proved it to them by a plumber’s video that they broke the sewer line. Then they told us that we didn’t inform them that it was there. They left it as it was and we ended up paying $1700 towards plumbers. They put the fence up and it was fine. They worked in the rain and cleaned up my yard with the many foot plants. They left the old concrete and it was a pretty negative experience. We haven’t cleared out the yard of all that they left behind. We were supposed to pay for all of the material. The price was fair. I thought their estimates were fair. They were here on time. The front man was very professional but the workers weren't.
