Bob did an excellent job on the installation. The dishwasher would not fit in easily but he worked carefully and got it installed perfectly. He is a true professional.

The original work went fine. However, after inspecting the job, I started to worry about the structural integrity of the work. I contacted a licensed engineer to inspect it and he determined that the beam was too weak for the loads placed on it. It wasn't in danger of collapsing, just sagging as the years go by. The engineer said that for the amount I was charged, G&B should have purchased a manufactured beam (a single 22 foot unit composed of glue and wood). Instead, they simply screwed some 16 foot long 2x12's together creating a composite beam. This saved them money on materials and possibly labor. The engineer had also worked with G&B prior and said they should have known better. I can only conclude that they saw an opportunity to cut a corner and pocket the extra money. I'd only trust them to do good work if you know enough about the work to ensure that they are not cutting corners (or if you contact an engineer before hand and have them working from a plan). On a good note, the engineer's analysis contained a detailed plan to convert the beam into a truss thereby strengthening it. G&B performed this repair for free (which took more time and material than the original work).

I contacted the provider to schedule an appointment for an estimate on a kitchen remodel. The lady who answered the phone told me that I would need to talk to Geno and that she would have himn call me. After a couple of days with no response, I called again and talked to the same lady. I told her that Geno had not returned my call. She said that he was really busy but she would write him a note and leave it for him so he would see it and call me. That was over a week ago and I still haven't received a call-back. Obviously I would not recommend this company if you expect any degree of customer service.
