Woke up one morning to a broken garage door opener. Did a quick search on Angies List and found DoorTech. Based on my initial inspection I thought I would be in for a new garage door opener. I called DoorTech to have them come and install a new opener. When I described what had happened they told me I may not need a new opener at all. We actually had a bit of a laugh about how bad a salesman the owner was as he talked me out of a more expensive opener. Nonetheless, they came out within a day and repaired the broken opener and it has worked great since. They were even willing to bill me for the repair which was quite a treat in this day and age. Overall, we had a great experience with them and will no doubt use them again if necessary. They were far better than the 'Big Name' company we have used in the past.

Our original door installer never called me back after 3 attempts. I found Door Tech on Angie's list. Mr. John Howard personally answered the phone, I shared with him the situation. We made an appointment for him to come out to personally look at our garage to give us free quote. One of my questions was regarding the difference between an insulated door vs the a standard door. In our case the standard door would be perfect for what we needed. Mr. Howard was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable answering all of my questions. He did not try to upsale me and was very honest regarding my needs and wants. There was no need to replace the garage door motor as it was virtually brand new and worked fine. Mr. Howard set the expectations that it would take approximately 2 weeks to order the door. On the 2 week mark, they called me to set the installation appointment. The installer showed up on time and had the best manners with so many "please, thank you's and yes, ma'am's", professional and personable. The door was replaced with perfection with excellent customer service. It made me feel good that there are good business people who care about their customers and are not in business just to make an extra dollar. I highly recommend using Door Tech. They are truly a local Louisiana family run business where customer's satisfaction comes first and they foster a positive respectful environment and team attitude from management to their employees and the customer service shows and is appreciated. No wonder they have been around for over 50 years! Thank you, Mr. Howard and the team at Door Tech for your business acumen and for your extraordinary attitude of respect for each other, the quality of the product and excellence in customer service.

For the work they did, I was expecting it to be expensive but then I only paid $150 which is low. They came out promptly. I cannot enough good things about this company. The technician who came out was excellent. He covered everything that he can and he even re-set the opener in my car. He went over and beyond. He was very friendly and very nice. I would highly recommend them.

Tech arrived on time. He replaced guide wires on both doors. He also repaired one door that would not open. i am satisfied with results.

The estimator gave me the choice of repair or replace and the price for each. Since the cost for a new one was not substantially more and since it included new tracks, I asked them to replace the door. The work was done when promised and was done professionally. The new tracks made the door better than it has been since the house was built, and it is so much quieter. The installer did a good job of cleaning up after finishing, but if suggest that homeowners check the site closely, too. Luckily, I found the screw left in the driveway before my tire did! I would recommend this company. A few suggestions for the company: better communications with your customers and potential customers. I first tried contacting through the website, but received no response. Someone did come out after I called. He told me that the office would call with an estimate. After waiting, I called them. I understand that they were waiting for the manufacturer to give them prices, but I wish they had kept me informed. I had to wait about a week and a half for installation, but that is probably unavoidable with ordering parts and scheduling. However, I heard nothing from them in the meantime. On the day of the job, I called them, and was told the installer was on his way. So, none of this is a big deal, but you could build a better relationship with customers with a little more communications

I called this company from my car because their truck was in front of me. I had seen their listing on Angie's List but hadn't read the reviews; I thought I was about to start having a real problem with my door, so I took a chance. The person who took the call was super-nice, told me the name of the person who'd be doing the work, and that he would in turn call me the day of at about 7:30 to let me know when he'd be there. He called, said he would be there between 1-1:30, and that's exactly what happened. He actually did some maintenance that I hadn't expected. Very nice. I am still waiting on an estimate on a possible repair, but it was only yesterday. I couldn't be more pleased.

The technician arrived on time, and immediately went to work. He replaced bent and worn parts from his stock in his truck, secured the railing where the roller had been escaping, lubricated everything and straightened the door which had been leaning to the right. He refused to take a break, and when he was finished, the door was better that when it was first installed. He did a great job! and unlike another door repair company , he didn't try to sell me a new door or motor. Best $100 I ever spent.

We used Doortech to fix our garage door opener, which would not work with any of our remotes. We chose Doortech based on the very good reviews here on Angie's LIst. We scheduled an appt with them. The technician was here early on the day of the appt. He diagnosed that the motherboard was burnt. He offered to repair it, which would last for some time period. We elected to have him replace the motherboard to give additional assurance the unit will work when we need it to work. I estimated total of $100, but I am not sure how much for two visits plus the cost of the motherboard (it is $85). We were very pleased and will definitely do business with Doortech again if we have anymore problems with our garage door opener.
