+ 0 moreThe first time I called last year (in the fall of 2014) the lady who answered the phone was very short and rude to me and I was not able to get anyone to give me an estimate. I finally tried calling again in late August/ early September of this year (2015) and was promised a call back within the week. I needed to set up an appointment for someone to give me an estimate because I have so many pieces of furniture that need refinishing. I never received a call back. Since then, I have called several times to try to set something up and was promised a call back. I am still waiting. I have decided they are just not interested in my business.
Description of Work: Donnie's did nothing for me. I have 6 pieces of antique furniture that need repair and refinishing, so it would have been a lot of business for them, but they would never call me back.

Description of Work: they took my chair to repair the bottom gave me a claim ticket and I haven't heard from them since. Have tried to call and have left message and they have not returned my call. It has been 6 months. I still have the claim ticket

Description of Work: They re-glued the joints and refinished a Windsor chair. they also repaired a small table. They did an excellent job. The time they took was reasonable. We felt the price was a little high. They were friendly and personable.

+ -1 moreHe came out to the house to do it, we didn't have to go to his shop. He prefers doing it at his shop, but if need be, he will come to your house. We didn't want to take a chance of damaging it again. He does a very good job, and there's not too many around who can do that kind of work. It is difficult to find somebody. His price is reasonable. It took him a while to get here, but once he made the appointment, he was here on time.
Description of Work: I used Donnie's Furniture Repair. We had an expensive piece of furniture that was damaged when we moved, and the wood was split. He was able to repair it.

+ -1 moreThey did a beautiful job. It did cost more than I thought it would be. With everything that was done, the value went up to about $2500. It was a good investment and it was my grandfathers. The price was fair.

Description of Work: Smoothed and finished arms of bench after dog chewed on it. Excellent work, but took a long time to get item back. A bit pricey.

+ -1 moreWe are very happy with the repairs to the kitchen chair. When we brought the chair in, they were very clear about the work that would be done, and they said they would call us when the chair was ready. They told us it could take a few weeks, which was ok. They called us when the chair was ready, and then loaded it in my car for me. They completed the repair to our satisfaction. I have since brought my grandmother's rocking chair to them for repair.
Description of Work: We have an old kitchen table and chairs set which was given to us almost 40 years ago. The chairs are wood, as is the table frame and legs. The table top is metal and painted white with a black pattern on it. We estimate it could be from the 1920's. It may not be a valuable antique, but we have had it for a long time. The wood on one of the chairs split where the leg fitted into the seat. Donnie's repair was so good that you cannot notice there was ever a split. The set looks good as new.
