floor cleaning
+ -1 moreThe floors are beautiful, but we had to request a third coat of polyurethane. After 2 coats, the floors felt rough and had a matte look to them. The company was great about scheduling the job, when it was convenient for us. The workers, though, did not respect our things. They ran our a/c to about 55 degrees, while sanding. They are not supposed to turn the system on to prevent dust particles from clogging it up. We had to request, that they have duct cleaners come out at their cost. They used some of our own tools, to stir the varnish and then simply left them out, coated in varnish, on whatever surface was nearby. They dug in our drawers and took a bag of candy, that I had in our kitchen. They apparently read our Playboy magazines because we found them in places where we knew we had not left them. They did a great job on the floors themselves, but I suggest not leaving them unattended unless your house is completely empty. They were also, a little sloppy around the baseboards.
Description of Work: We had about 1400 sq ft of hardwood flooring, that need to be refinished. The floors are about 60 years old and had only been waxed. We requested the wax be removed, the wood stained, and then coated with polyurethane. One room had carpet and tile, so extra labor was required to get those floors to look the same, as the others.
