+ -1 moreI called Budget Blinds because I wanted to get some idea of what to do with my large family room window. I'm doing some house updating and wanted ideas and some cost figures. I believe it was Holly who came to see us. Her first words to us where "So, you saw us on Uncover Boss on TV!". I had actually watched the program since I had planned to call them (never watch otherwise), but NO that's not why I called. I sort of felt that that was a persumptious statement. Anyway, we currently have vertical blinds on a window that is 130" wide and 72 high.. Since storms have made our tree scapes more of a sky scape we need a horizontal treatment to block the sky. She suggested that we put a cornice over our existing vertical blinds and cellular shades in front of that.. I thought that was a bit much and suggested that we would like just some sort of shade treatment, and since we have 4 cats I can't have strings like in blinds or pull cords. We asked about remote controlled systems. We were told that that "would be very expensive since you have to hard wire the system". Also she said "you can't select colors until your painting work is done... This is ok, but I didn't see what my color options were at all. which might have influenced my painting choices. To be fair, we did say we were just at the stage of getting information. When she left we thought we would get an estimate on her ideas (which we thought were odd) and ours. Haven't heard a word since, and I won't be calling back especially since I read the previous review. Thank you Angies list!

Description of Work: The franchise owner Holly Cagle came to our new home to give us a price quote. First she came off as very abrasive and kind of rude. The only thing that was so\so was the quality of the samples she showed us. We have been waiting over 3 weeks to receive our quote and even after a few calls we had yet to receive the quote or any response. So I decided to write on "Budget Blinds" Facebook page. They did respond but then deleted my post which only stated that we had need waiting almost 3 weeks and have yet to receive our quote. So I decided to read several posts and all were positive. I didn't read the one that I read the day before of a lady in California who had had trouble with them and was still waiting for a solution to her issue. Apparently they delete any negative posts on their Facebook page. Finally, today, I received an email from Holly Cagle: "Casey I received your message, I'll check on it this afternoon, You should have gotten the quote already. ~Holly" Notice how sympathetic and apologetic this owner/frachisee treats her customers before any money has exchanged hands. I am just glad that this happened BEFORE I paid the 75% non refundable required deposit.
