 + -1 moreAt my indication of interest the company sent a representative to my home at my convenience to spec out the house size, electrical usage and fuel availability. I accepted his recommendation and we proceeded to installation. The unit was delivered and set up for installation. An electrician was contacted and delivered service within a week. A plumber was contacted to hook in natural gas service. ARCCO then sent a technician to check the work and to test operation. The system exercises itself automatically every week for about 15 minutes. Our first significant loss of power was as a result of hurricane Gustav in the first week of September, 2008. Because Baton Rouge bore the most serious brunt of that storm we were without street power for 11 days. The generator operated flawlessly. Twice during that time I had to stop the engine to change the oil and filter. This took about 15 minutes each time. Our natural gas bill for that 11 day period was $358.00. We were gratified especially since this happened when natural gas was at its peak price.
