Description of Work: Needed locks on 2 outside doors repaired or replaced

Description of Work: I bought and replaced a knob type door lock on an old outside type door. I had bought the lock at Alford's a few days ago. I did the work myself with the help of advice from the sales person at Alford's when I bought the lock. But after installation, the new latch would not stay in the door jamb striker plate opening. I redid the installation three times then gave up. I was scared to mess with the striker plate and hole in the door jamb any further. (A friend visiting said maybe my door was warped.) When I called Alford's this morning to request a service call, I thought the service trip would be $70-75 but instead I was charged only $40 because I was not located very far from the shop. Plus the locksmith (Justin I believe was his name) who came said the owner probably gave me a lower trip charge since I had bought the lock at his shop. Justin knew exactly what the problem was and very quickly remedied the problem with his drill and special bit which he used to carve the hole in the striker plate so that it would work with my particular lock. Even though the new lock was very much like the old lock, it's latch was larger and needed a bigger and deeper hole. The lock worked perfectly after that. I was pleased.
